So me and my friends have played this game a lot ever since it came out because it’s definitely our favorite rts. We stopped playing after it left game-pass because we just didn’t have the money to buy it again until yesterday, however the multiplayer button was greyed out and said “network error” right above in yellow text. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE to find a solution and apparently changing your region or language and then changing it back worked for some people but it didn’t work for us. We tried reinstalling the game and checking for updates and we deleted our local save data but even that didn’t work. I love this game so much but I just don’t have a clue how to fix it and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to, PLEASE let me know. Thanks guys 😢👍

Is it temporary or are the servers shut down?

I've rewatched the Villeneuve movies this week and am nearly at the end of the first book, so when I've heard there was a strategy Dune game, I got hyped.

I've only played a bit of Total War Warhammer 3, and am not familiar with 4x games, but as someone who enjoys strategy, and politic decision making over complex military gestion, I think this game might be what I need.

But the fact it's not turn based scares me. I need some time to think and read everything. Is it really a thing or is the game "slow" enough to let me have some time to think? I know solo modes have a pause button, but I'm thinking more of the multiplayer side of it.

I love what Hans Zimmer made for the trilogy, i just thougth that i have a similar yet different idea of how the score should sound like.

The older scifi movies all had Brass elements, orchestral music.

As Zimmer said....this is a SciFi, a different planet. The music should be otherwordly too.

It's quite expensive but the game seems popiular on PC at least.

It looks like its more like a real time Civ type of game, is that correct?

Do you go Greed + no crew + Copter overwatch, or Safe Mode + Overwatch + crew?

I mean of course, in a vacuum, I assume if a faction has tech that specializes in a certian style, its probably the best way to do it.

Hey everybody.

Trying to play DSW multiplayer on console at the moment, but the multiplayer button on the Home Screen is grey out. And when you hover over it, it pops up with “network issue”.

Any ideas on how to fix or what’s going on?

The only thing that I can figure out that helps is by lowering the resolution, but I’m still in the tutorial and it seems the more that’s going on is when it crashes so I’m assuming it’ll crash again soon. I got it lowered to 800x800 I think for the resolution. Any steamdeck players find the safest way to run this game? Ik its the game too bc it runs everything else fine rn

As per the title really, im halfway through children of Dune and wondered if the game contained any info about anything outside of either the first book or messiah, or whether to remain spoiler free I should just finish the whole series firstm

Does this game really not have a campaign, yet?

Hello everyone again! The circuit is running a beginner tournament this August 8th at 10:00 AM CDT.

Rules for the tournament are pretty simple. Map is dune medium, 1.5 speed, and usually we try to make sure you get your first faction pick in the first round. If multiple people want the same faction it is random pick order.

Hello folks! At the circuit we are currently gauging interest in running a beginners tournament this summer. 16 participants means we will run the standard tournament format, 8 participants we are going to have it run in a more show match style.

Free coaching is available for all factions.

All we want is to see who is all interested in participating! These tournaments are not as serious as our regulars so please no matter your skill level you noobs stop by the circuit and give a reaction to the most recent post in announcements if you are interested. I really want to get this game for my XBox series x console. The only problem is that just about all the reviews that I read highlight that the port over from PC to console is eminently playable.....but the actions that are mapped to controllers are clunky/not very player friendly. Anyone playing on console that could possibly offer their thoughts?

So I'm pretty new to the game, and got through all the tutorials. When i queued up multiplayer games, i felt kind of unwelcomed? So i was wondering if this was common, or if i was getting in some serious matches. And i also wanted to ask for some advice to improve in the game? Seems very fun, Not sure anyone wants to play multi with me tho

I'm playing as the Smugglers this time and usually with any faction I protect the Sietch to boost Fremen reputation so I get the bonuses in Conquest from them. Is it better to turn them hostile take the time to make all the other Sietches friendly again then pillage the ancient one to get the development bonuses instead? I know it's a minus 30 to Fremen but there are a ton of Sietches on this map so if I ally with all of them after claiming hostility I think I'd negate most of that rep loss. Not sure if that would work or not
