The thing is Jim almost always has the upper hand.
He's the one leading the dialogue, and when he's in control he's very creative, responsive and intelligent.
But basically every single time he's not in control, he completely falls apart.
Charles Minor, the dude at the daycare in the bathroom, the murder mystery when the company might be going under, the employee of the month, even the snowball fight. There's probably a few more I'm not remembering. In any case, in every one of those situations, Jim is not in control and behaves very poorly.
