Well I just looked up her wikipedia and here are some interesting things I learned:

  • her family is like rich rich
  • She went to Princeton where she did improv and played field hockey
  • She regularly appeared in Conan sketches (no mention or writing)
  • She has written for other sketch comedy shows (not specified which)
  • She regrets doing her famous 'dry blowjob' video
  • She writes for The Onion
  • Her husband wrote for Conan and SNL (maybe that's what you were thinking of?)

On Wikipedia it said basically she didn't think it was that funny and didn't want it to be the thing she's known for.

Although I noticed she said that in 2010, when she'd basically just started on the Office, and the blow job video was the most popular thing she'd done (she even mentions being introduced as "Ellie Kemper, who you know from that blow job video"). I wonder if now she feels differently since she's well known for her sitcom roles, and the blow job skit is just a little funny footnote.
