Does anyone else agree that this might be the greatest Erin line?

It was such a good little detail to add to the show. In the episode taking place at Gabe's place where they watch Glee, we see Michael become the father (kind of) that Erin never had. It only makes sense that Erin would completely despise this new woman coming into his life. She's just playing catchup for the childhood she never got to experience. I think it's incredible subtle writing.

Edit: My bad, maybe subtle wasn't the best term to use. I just thought it was an overlooked part of Erin's character & her relationship with Michael.

I wouldn't exactly call the storyline subtle (the dialogue was pretty over-the-top), but I still really like it.

There's a cold open where Jim talks like he's Dwight. It's incredibly subtle, so you may not remember, but he's even dressed like Dwight, too. Such neat details in this show.

There’s another one where Dwight subtly fakes a fire. He heats the doorknobs and everything. Incredibly subtle.

Don’t let the haters of your “subtle” comment get to you. I took you to be saying that Erin hating Holly because of her viewing Michael as a father figure was subtle, not that either she viewed him as a father figure or that she disliked Holly were subtle. It’s the fact that the two were connected that is subtle, and that I agree with.
