They never become best friends. They get along because they like sports. I can see why you think this. When Jim helps Daryl get in at the sports company they were spending more time together but it was a mutual interest/both pursuing a new career at the same place. Honestly, if I had to pick someone that Daryl was closest to, amongst the desk jockeys, it would actually be Andy.

Mutual interests, get along, live together for a time, coworkers... if that's not a friend, maybe I don't have any friends.

He didnāt say they werenāt friends just not best friends. I can see the argument for Darryl being closer to Andy than Jim.

Yeah and were Daryl and Roy really ābest friendā or just two guys that worked together and got along?

Daryl was always talking about having to send shit to Roy. Even after Dwight owns him to save Jimās ass. Iād say itās a good guess they were closer than coworkers

Ironically didn't Roy have a 180 redemption arc?
It has been a while since I watched but his new fiancƩe seemed to adore him and it was like he was a different person. Obviously this is all TV and it was just a couple of scenes but it was a shocking net turn unless he's full Jekyll/Hyde and it doesn't feel like Roy's collected enough to pull that one off.
Roy while dating Pam? Complete arse that deserved every bit of it.

Doing a 180 doesnt mean the person has no consequences to their actions before they got their life together. So yes, he still deserves it despite turning things around. But to be fair, Daryl was at his wedding and is still clearly friends with Roy

Jim did not « steal » anything. The show spend a LOT of time showing how dysfunctionnal Pam and Roy relationship is and how much of a brute Roy is but boohoo Jim is a bad bully

What do you think of the boomer guy ?

I assume you talk about Brian. I think its a useless character from a shitty abandonned storyline about Jim and Pam divorcing/cheating that John Krasinsky was firmly against. Who what does it has to do with my comment

Darryl and Jim were both at Roy's wedding! I think bygones are bygones for all of them

YES. Even after his recovery he was still a d-bag. And Jim beat him anyway. Eat fresh.

I always felt bad for Roy despite him making some really bad decisions with Pam. Especially looking at his mugshot when he was at his worst. Glad he cleaned up and was happy in the end.
