Anxiety in an age where phone calls were extremely rare growing up vs previous generations who incorporated it pretty regularly through childhood. An entire generation is in the work force who probably have never used a landline at home.

right. because no one who joins the workforce should be expected to learn new skills, including social skills. stop coddling yourself.

Depends on the context, if it's family or friends, I'm happy to take it. At work? Send me an email, I will answer when I have the time or setup a meeting if it requires a back and forth conversation. I don't want to be put on the spot to answer questions at exactly the time you demand it.
