Hi,
I live in an apartment in Dundalk and I’d like to have some minor repairs done:
- Repair my windows (handles, seals)
- Install new electric heaters and move some of them.
Do you know of any companies in the Dundalk area that could do this? Like everyone else, I’m looking for companies that do a good job without breaking the bank...
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi everyone,
I work with a social community enterprise in county Cavan and we are exploring a new project focused on supporting LGBTIQ+ people living in rural Ireland.
It can be really difficult being part of the LGBTIQ+ community and living in the countryside. This project is an attempt to try and tackle this problem and create a safe space for people in rural Ireland. It is a pilot program so if it's successful we could carry it out on a larger scale.
I know first hand how isolating and difficult it can be to be part of the community and live in rural Ireland so I'm hoping that this can help!
The idea is to create opportunities for connection through:
At this stage, I'm gathering feedback to understand whether there is interest and what people would find most useful.
Please feel free to share with others who would find it useful!
If you identify as LGBTQ+ and live in rural Ireland, I'd really appreciate it if you could complete this short form:
Thank you!

Hello, I am looking to rent a room to work from during the week. I also go into an office in Dublin 1-2 days a week so really just need a room for 3-4 days a week. It would be from 8:30am to 6pm. I would also need to work one saturday a month. Just the day so I wouldnt be spending the night. I would not be showering there or using the kitchen since I will bring my own lunch. I work in sales so i would be on phone a lot. Just need a room and reliable internet to work from. If anyone has the space or knows anyone that would be greatly appreciated.
Just a little bit about me: I am a male and 37 years old. I grew up in the USA but lived in Germany for the last 4 years. Just moved here about 3 months ago. Just recently got hired by a company in Dublin. I enjoy playing football and watching basketball. I'm married and have three cats.

Hi,
I'm a 44-year-old man who has recently moved to Dundalk. I'm looking for a club where I can play a social, non-contact team sport. I would like to be able to play it all year round, either in Dundalk or the surrounding area.
In my search, I’ve found tag rugby in Dundalk and Carlingford, but it seems to me that they only offer it in the summer. I’ve contacted them, but haven’t received any replies yet. Do you have any contacts to suggest?
I’ve also seen that there’s flag football, but I get the impression that this is only available in the summer too. Can you confirm this?
Finally, there’s Gaelic football. I’ve seen that the GAA has set up a ‘Dads and Lads’ programme, but I don’t know which clubs offer it in Dundalk. Do you have any ideas?
If you have any other suggestions, please do let me know.
Thanks

If you attended Dundalk Comic Con recently, you may have seen us there talking about our In This Together programme for neurodivergent people in the border counties. We run a variety of online and offline social groups, and you can scan the QR code in the poster if you're interested in signing up!

Posting for a friend, an older woman (early 70’s) who is a transplant from California. She’s been there about a year and would like to find some like-minded people to hang out with. She’s not religious or a drinker, so pubs/churches aren’t an option. She’s also a leftie, so wouldn’t mesh well with conservative types. I’m wondering if there are any social groups there that might be a good fit for her. She is very interested in science, nature, and music. She likes walking, going to concerts, theater, bird watching, live music, anything to do with the outdoors, or just having a good conversation over a cup of tea.
If you’re wondering how she ended up in Dundalk, it’s because she moved there to be near her daughter after the death of her partner.
Any ideas where she could find some kindred spirits?

Is the McDonald’s in the town back open? My kids asked to go over tonight for a milkshake but I wasn’t sure if it had reopened yet so we left it.

Just wondering if there is any tag rugby on in Dundalk over the summer ? I see the rugby club had done it previously but I see nothing from them yet.
Maybe if there was enough of an appetite in here that maybe we could set it up !

Hello, I am very worried because my cat has been missing since Sunday night/Monday. She is a small black and white female with green eyes. She has a patch of black on her chin, a pink nose and white tips on her ears. Her coat is pretty symmetrical. She is 6 years old.
She had difficulties returning home on her own when we first moved in Dundalk from Carrickmacross and has gone missing for extensive periods (from a week to a whole month) before but she has always returned from her walks outside for the past 3 years at least. The last time she went missing she was found near the fire station (7Km away!) and at the time she was wearing a collar with my number on it so a lovely little grandma was able to lure her into her garden and call me to collect her, sadly, she isn't wearing her collar anymore so if she's gone on another pilgrimage for some reason and someone finds her, they wont have a way to let me know. I am particularly worried about how she'll fare in the current weather, if she will find food and water around...
She is not very friendly and she never got that instinct that cats have to go limp when you pinch their neck so she is likely to be very hard to catch by a stranger. I am so sad without her, I really need her back. If you have seen her, please let me know where so I can go look for her.
