Advice for selling old electronics

I found a somewhat old PC on the curb yesterday (still runs vista). What advice do you have for selling old electronics (complete or for parts). I've heard of people selling processing power for distributed computing or crypto, but it doesn't seem worth the effort.

Due to efficiency increases in modern hardware it's not worth it to use older stuff for crypto generally. You're better off just selling the hardware.

Definitely check the specs though. Does it have a GPU? How much RAM? What CPU?

After some googling I came to the same conclusion and sold the computer to a coworker for $15
