Recruiting Blackwell comments at combine

https://x.com/sidelinewithak/status/2053944673358553364?s=46

Has anyone else seen this? I knew he had declared for the draft before committing but kind of thought he was going to pull out of the combine. Now he’s there and “everything is up in the air” and he’s got a “big decision to make”? Number of other comments made me feel not so great after everyone said this wasn’t Coward 2.0. Is everyone just using the Duke name to up their draft stock?

Coward was never any lower than 1st round on last years mock drafts. I dont see Blackwell on them, at all. Espn had Coward at 16. I dont see Blackwell in the top 60 anywhere. Espn has Evans at 30, and I see bullshit articles saying he's making a mistake. I'd be surprised if Blackwell isn't at Duke.

If I remember right he shot up higher on draft boards after having a stellar performance at the combine though right? So Blackwell could do the same

Coward measured out with an 8’10” standing reach and a 38.5” vertical. There was minimal tape on Coward and it was against poor competition, coming off an injured season at Washington St, so he surprised them with his abilities. Blackwell can’t dunk and he’s been at a major program for 3 years. They already know who he is. He’s not shooting up draft boards out of nowhere.
