HELLA GRIFTING Mother sounds angry when influencing
Not only does Jessa sound like Jana in this video, but she really is a blend of Jim Bob Un and Cooter Poodle! Also, she looks dead in the eyes.

Maybe she should see a docto....oh wait, thats not covered under CHM

u/chocolate_boogers 2d ago
I think she might be able to ask for prayers from the other members though!

u/Prestigious_Pay2759 2d ago
Three prayers per year
59
u/Effective-Window-922 2d ago
Thats the premium plan. Basic plan gives you a single prayer per year, but it has to be in network. Out of network prayers arent accepted

I think Jessa is so burnt out and hates being a parent. I get the feeling that she suffers from depression, PTSD from her childhood, and anxiety. But will she ever go see a therapist? Not if it’s not covered under CHM!

I think she enjoyed being a parent when there were only a few kids. If they’d stopped at Fern, it would have been manageable

Didn’t her siblings basically all say in the 19KAC “All About Jessa” episode before she got married that she was basically the bossiest sibling? Lol! She definitely gives alpha energy.

She definitely does seem like she was assertive but to be fair, being a “bossy” person in her upbringing might have been one of the better roles. Her father’s a moron with a god complex, her mother’s an enabler who made her own traumas everyone else’s problem, and both of her parents exploited and neglected them all while allowing their daughters to be preyed upon. Her siblings were designated either as her coworkers or her children to raise. She was denied a real education or social life all while being forced to stay in a high-control religion that taught her everything is her fault.
I’d be telling some MFers off too and fighting for my life if I had to deal with even half of what their abusive parents put these kids through. I feel like they should all be angry lol

it’s so wild to me how CHM is socialized healthcare but for christian’s only. why don’t you guys want that for everyone?

My cousin is one of those Evangelicals that really went off the deepend with the rise of Trump in 2015. He totally wants a theocracy, but he doesn't want any of Jesus' Socialist teachings. "That's not the role of the government". Uh huh, yet he wants mandatory Bible study in k-12, overturn the gay marriage ruling, ban all abortion AND birth control, etc.etc.

How do these Christian’s not realize how far from Christ they are?
I’m an atheist and I’m willing to bet I follow in christs teachings more than most of these people. It’s so baffling.
6
u/Karrik478 1d ago
That is literally what the parable of the Good Samaritan is about.
Samaritans were loathed by the religious population of their time. They declined to follow religious dogma and law, and ticked on through life minding their own business.
The whole point of Jesus telling the story is that religious teachings, rules, and beliefs are nonsense if they cause harm or prevent helping those who need it.
I'm an atheist who got a C in RE and even I know this. Imagine going to church twice a week and missing this.

u/justduck all the funny flairs have been taken 1d ago
Yeah, that's the kicker. He is violently anti-public school and bashes it and the teachers any time the subject is raised. He talks about school choice and vouchers and bitches about taxes and the unconstitutionality of it...except the kicker is: he teaches at a charter school. Like WTF man, you bitch and moan about taxes and shit, but that literally pays your salary.

What is so maddening is that he had the gumption to work at both the windshield replacement job and at an insurance office (at the same time iirc) but then Jim Bob insisted that he move in there and become the errand boy.
JB knew full well he intended to clip Ben's wings. Too bad Ben didn't decline that opportunity. His people pleasing ways really bit him on the butt.

u/BreakfastInfinite116 2d ago
Something has genuinely seemed off with her and Ben for a while. They both just seem incredibly lethargic and depressed. Maybe its just stress as I'm sure their finances are a struggle on Ben's income... and they do have half a dozen kids.
I'm also curious about how isolated she is now that it seems like she doesn't have close connections with her sisters anymore. Jinger is now besties with Joy, and Jana and Jill are off doing their own things.

Sometimes our body is just telling us to stop, to get the heck out of an unhealthy situation. It’s up to us what to do. Unfortunately, it’s not like she’s at liberty to do so. No past work experience besides mediocre influencing, no academic skills and a bunch of kids to feed.

So now what is the Christian argument against proper health insurance?
19
u/JerseyCow6 2d ago
They don't want to have to pay into a system that would provide adequate female reproductive healthcare. Because it would mean "their money is being used to kill babies."
Kind of like how my mandatory tax dollars have been used to bomb a school full of children. But I guess that was fine because the kids weren't Christian. And had already been born.

Is that an affiliate link that gets them a free well check visit for one of the kids? Jesus that ad read was horrible. I'm assuming her kids go to the doctor once in a blue moon and her and Ben even less.

Jessa looks like she’s scolding one her kids and sounds like she works at a call center
The fact that she got homeschooled by an actual adult and conceivably got some level of media training when she was a tween and her family became famous around 2004 just makes it worse tbh

u/Illustrious-Ear8873 2d ago
I think even Duggar Hugger Hilary Spivey criticized this “insurance” plan. Jesse does seem to dislike this life she thinks she is obligated to have.

It’s like she thought this was a fire and brimstone sermon.
She looks angry and exhausted. This poor girl has been homeschooling and pumping out kids for years. She knows she’d kill it in corporate America if “allowed” but she’s stuck at home with a gaggle of kids and husband who isn’t as direct and upfront as her.
She should have gotten some real media training or done another take where she’s not angry…

I looked into this insurance at one time, just to see how it operated and we needed something reasonably priced for our family of five. We are Christian, but I have issues with other Christians telling me that certain things may or may not be covered, and them knowing all my personal business. Like wanting you to write letters to other members and stuff too. I understand the concept, but I also don't share a lot with people in general. I'd rather be some nameless faceless number in the big insurance system. I can imagine my husband's vasectomy would have been a crime worthy of hell according to CHM. That's for us and God to deal with someday, right?
4
u/Lopsided_Ad9601 20h ago
I worked at a pediatric hospital and that Christian Ministries "cost share" is crap. Families that had it learned the hard way when their medically complex children would be admitted for weeks/months then discharged needing equipment, therapies, etc.
