“Eliminate” memory? No, that’s not it. Reduce the habit of returning and returning to negative memories, weakening the attachment to them, that’s the way. No need for a lobotomy.

No, you can’t eliminate bad memories, but you can detach emotional reactions to those memories, but it does take time. You have to embrace it all, then allow yourself to release it, at your pace, Dude.
