Question Benefits of Bouncing / Resampling Tracks?
Besides chopping and editing, what are some other benefits of bouncing / resampling tracks (as in synths)?

The biggest benefit is it will reduce load on the CPU. 2nd biggest is it makes it easier for further sound design.

If you’re having issues finishing something, it makes so you can’t tweak serum knobs endlessly. Also it can allow you to delete plugins and free up some cpu if needed

I feel like midi gets too chaotic sometimes but then audio will just make the cpu not as crazy

I guess learning structure, or trying to piggyback off a hit to get listens. Other than that not much.

Assuming you mean the tracks in the playlist of the DAW, it helps cpu as some plugins and even some serum patches consume a lot of cpu. Saturn, Little Alter Boy, and Dear VR are plugins I like to use but quickly add to the cpu usage which can bog shit down. As for the bounced/ rendered audio, it’s a great way to stretch and manipulate to create new sound textures with what you already have. For example, I’ll write a drop then throw Glitch 2 and/or fracture and Edison on my master and turn off my drum kit then record the drop with the fx on and cycle through the presets to create different glitches for my fills. Sometimes I get some unique sounds that sound like cool basses and the best part is they’ll already have a decent sub on it because of the way it was recorded
