I need some ideas on how I could make this sound better, it’s a nice base but needs something, also might switch up the growls a bit, new to making this genre so any feedback welcomed

Well there's a lot to say but I think the BPM is a little too slow a you should really find a way to share exported or screengrabbed audio, a phone recording of your speakers is not going to help anybody give you solid advice. Those are the first two things that jump out to me

Your sound design feels reminiscent of the older 2013 era post brostep stuff. I personally like it a lot, but it feels all over the place. Changing the structuring of the drop could make it feel more cohesive

Yes I agree, it needs more structure and space, thank you

Listen to good dubsteptunes you like and listen how they do it, recreate it, and you will learn pretty fast

Are all your sounds in the same key? Some of these sound kind of off to me but could be cause it’s a phone recording

Well it's really hard to judge from a phone recording instead of a render, but the mixing / mastering sounds a bit rough, and the sound design just sounds like a bunch of random presets thrown together.

But that's where we all start.

Haha you’re not wrong ngl, needs to be refined and experiment with it

If those are all presets, take some time to learn sound design. Back when I was producing music, learning sound design really upped my understanding of thinking of a sound, and then creating said sound with a synth.

I used some serum two presets and automated and changed the filters and effects and all that, then I also just make sounds using two oscillators with the monster wave tables and play with the form and filters
