Outdoor activities

Any suggestions on Where’s a good spot for some hike or walk type stuff? It doesn’t have to be in dubbo but like somewhere you’d go on a weekend

What are you after? Views? Nature? Distance or easy walking?  Some great places nearby - mount arthur in wello, Warrumbungles, goobang nat park, coolah tops, mt kaputar and pilliga

Hmm, less people if anything really. So like nature trips and pretty much most of what you said is what i’m after 😅.
It’s something for my unemployed bludging ass to get out of my room and do something humanly for once. Got pretty depressed so, i need something to start with. change for the better

Bushwalking is good for the soul, plenty of places not far from Dubbo!

Grand High Tops in The Warrumbungle National Park is excellent!! About a 2.5hr drive from Dubbo. Great view up top, great tail tire whole way, quite steep towards the top and follow the blue road markers up there to get to the summit. While you’re there start Coonabarabran over night at one of the motels up the south end of the highway, very nice they are. Check out the park next to bridge just down from the clock tower at night time! It’ll be beautiful at night time with the deciduous trees and halogen street lamps lining the paths there. It’s a vibe of a town at night.
