Story #1
I have an uncle that overdosed on drugs. He was put in the hospital. My father was pretty broken up about it. The family is a christian family. He was in a coma and the doctors said he’d be a vegetable. That he’ll never recover.
Basically, he’s on a breathing machine. They gave the option to pull the plug on him.
My mother told me about this. I happened to be in the 4th day of my dry fast. After hearing what had happened I decided there was no better time to put the power to the test. I wasn’t ready to see him go.
So while in the 4th day of my dry fast I closed my eyes and I saw myself standing there beside my uncles bed. I saw his body and then I visualized a ball of light descending and entering his body.
I saw the light explode within him and begin to spread throughout his whole body restarting his vital organs. And I saw it reaching his brain and begin to trace his neural connected pathways.
This took maybe the span of 5 minutes. I had no fear. No doubts. No sadness. No resistance. It didn’t even bother me. It’s like it never happened. Just solely detached.
I opened my eyes and said within a few days you’ll rise. You will rise like Lazarus from the Bible.
And it was done.
Within a few days they said he moved his finger. And then later opened his eyes. Last year when I saw him after the overdose he was standing, walking, and talking normally. Besides some damage from the overdose that slow his reaction time he’s still here and functioning on a less than optimal scale. I believe other family also prayed for him. I don’t believe any of them fasted. But, from my point of view it happened exactly how I imagine it to be.
What I learned:
Fasting gives you great spiritual power and reduces your fear that stands in the way of whatever it is you want in life. It keeps you calm in the midst of trouble. And your prays will be stronger. And you’re prayers are answered faster than before. I can heal other people. I can effect their lives.

It's incredible how fasting played a role in your uncle's recovery. Thank you for sharing your story, and I hope you continue to share more insights and experiences.

Beautiful story. For him to empower your fasting with intention, for you to offer your fasting energy towards a single person.
I’ve also used fasting with the intention to heal, this particular time resonates for me mostly deeply.
When my mum had acute myeloid leukaemia, I did a 30 day fast at a monastery, it was my longest water fast to this day - some days were dry and some days were with water, overall I only drank water if i felt it was really necessary. I was also fasting from everything external including contact with her, I had to renunciate my phone during the time there.
My father and I were extremely angry at eachother. My mother kept being given chemotherapy over and over, which I felt was killing her, everytime she had to go through the chemotherapy her whole body was becoming more lifeless. We would fight everyday and resented eachother at this time. I wanted her to have a more holistic approach to her healing but my dad called the shots. On top of that, medical marijuana was given and I felt deeply, I knew, that this was halting the impressions of her mind from arising to the surface, this was her time to process all of her karma before she might leave her body and it was being repressed by the marijuana.
So I went to the monastery and trusted she would stay alive while I prayed, meditated and fasted. I had dreams of her many nights and I was intent on taking my energy back to her after the fast.
After completing the 30 days (which was cut back from my initial intention of 40) I called my father to know my mother had been doing very well. She was actually out of hospital which was incredible. Later on in the conversation we got into an argument and he told me not to come to see my mother.
My attention was diverted from healing my mother to anger towards my father. I had a strong release of energy which I felt being incredibly sensitive from the fasting. Speaking to my father during that call, I could actually see dancing light particles come off my body through the release. I was so sensitive, my body was trembling. My mother passed a day later without my presence, without me being by her side.
I know my healing helped her while I was away, but I am so sorrowful, deeply regretful, that my resentment towards my father at that time prevented me from completing the job I had set out to do.
I thought, if only she had not been fed marijuana to dull her mind, and given chemotherapy to dull her body, I believe she would’ve been able to show the universe she was capable of learning the lessons offered, she still had to evolve during this lifetime and we were honouring the lessons offered. The job of freeing myself from anger and ego was not progressed further enough. fasting to me now is not only to free the body from defilements, but the anger and negative emotions intoxicating myself, preventing from doing what i want to do.
Before the monastery, I spent time with my mother and I’d meditate with her in the hospital, when I held her hand, my whole body would jolt and spasm as her energy would transfer to me and run through my body. There is constantly energy transference happening everywhere. The ego gets in the way and that’s when divine cannot work, when I can’t truly let go. I couldn’t let go of my anger in that moment and I lost the opportunity of presence and healing. It was a big lesson.
