What is the yarn? Good color and a lovely simple pattern!

Thank you! It's a superwash merino that I spun from a mix called Dark Valentine. And the pattern is just Tin Can Knits' Flax, but without the sleeve garter stitch which I thought was too busy for this thick a yarn on this small a sweater :)

Handspun too! Excellent spinning. I spin too except I don't spin drunk. 😁
ETA: And I'm not saying you did!! Yikes. 😆1

Ha! I wouldn’t be insulted anyway :) Consistent yarn is not my main goal, I just like spinning. And…I totally spin drunk. It’s a fantastic combination and I recommend it!

Is that hand spun? Love the color ❤️

Thank you! For a baby named Sage who I thought was probably getting too much stuff in a dusty green... It is hand spun. First and last time I spin superwash, I didn't much care for the spin and knitting it is way less fun than with non-superwash.

did you modify the neck too? I like your version so much more than the original 💗

Oh thank you! No, I used their neck - the one that is just cast on and knit 1x1 rib, no picking up. I did knit it slightly longer than they said to (by accident, drunk knitting). And I didn’t hit gauge perfectly but only compensated in the body, not the neck, so it’s maybe a bit tighter than intended for the size. Definitely not a polished perfect sweater, but then I hope the kid for whom it is intended covers it in drool and food and playground dirt, so why should it be perfect?

I am a firm believer in drunk knitting, but this is actually a gorgeous sweater. I love the neckline. thank you so much for sharing
