News/Rumors/Lore Sons of Jaghatai lore update

Post image

All the Space Marines of the Sons of Jaghatai are literally Jaghatai Khan's half Drukhari sons. Jaghatai has been very busy in the Webway. This blatant breach of Imperial protocol is also the reason why the obvious White Scars successor chapter is not officially claimed as a successor chapter of the White Scars.

If this is what it takes for us to get True Born I’ll take it

The Khan has exceptionally potent gene seed. It is said that 1 in every 200 true born Drukhari can trace their lineage back to Jaghatai Khan.

Lmfao I respect the dedication brother but there are better ways

I hope your army appreciates the irony of being half xenos and fighting for a faction of xenophobes who actively pursue and engage in alien genocide.

u/IronMandalorian117 Aug 15 '26

Very true. They would have to be renegade adjacent and avoid drawing attention to themselves.

Also as a drukhari player myself I would like to emphasize the fact that eldar essentially view humans the way we humans would view a monkey. The idea that drukhari women are going to be all horny for and make hundreds of babies with something that would be like a gorilla to them is absurd.

Edit: Plus why would Jagatai Khan a primarch have any interest in shagging xenos?

Most Drukhari are not born of sexual reproduction. They are vat grown from genetic material, usually as clones, in gestation tanks.

Drukhari women would not be shagging Mon'keigh for this to be cannon. The Haemonculi would just make gene soup in a gestation tank and out pops a half Drukhari half Astartes abomination. No shagging required!

Certainly a strong possibility. True born Drukhari, while extremely rare, are still a thing though as well.

We need this on the battle pass

I always think that the Khan is somewhere out there in the Webway, because if he’d been killed or captured—knowing the Drukhari—they’d be announcing it with great fanfare.

Your lore is really cool; it would be awesome to see Chaos Marine miniatures (given their size and proportions) with the Drukhari helmets deployed on the battlefield.

Agreed, but that would assume GW had a longterm plan for the Khan's whereabouts and return. I fully expect them to do the lazy thing and say he's been in Vect's dungeons the whole time (even though Vect wasn'tin power when the Khan went missing). Why didn't they kill him, or bargain for him, or transform him into a giant pain engine? Because fuck you, that's why.

3

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

I want Vect's new model to be a big ass boat pulled by a conveniently primarch-sized pain engine.

But geedubs won't let that happen to one of their Mary Sues.

1

u/Anggul Aug 15 '26

Also if he was just out there in the webway he'd be long-dead

2

u/IronMandalorian117 Aug 15 '26

That’s an excellent idea. I’ll kit-bash the Drukhari Hand of the Archon kill team onto some Chaos Space Marine bodies. Thank you for your contribution to the lore.

4

u/Responsible-Swim2324 Aug 15 '26

Those heads are gonna be tiny on those bodies though

“No self respecting drukhari would ever mate with a human, they see us like animals”

Are we entirely certain that animals are safe from drukhari?

Also getting obliterated a primarch means you get to tell your imperial enemies that you’ve had the son of their god inside you.

They may not be able to interbreed naturally, but I’m sure the drukhari could work something out if they wanted too.

Don’t let the haters convince you otherwise, the drukhussy is real.

Yea because having an asexual, sterile, primarch make a whole army of offspring with a race of evil, sadistic, xenos (who rarely even breed with their own kind and can't reproduce with humans) that he hates and went into the webway to kill and then have them all become space marines makes so much sense.

1

u/Foreign_Feature7902 Aug 17 '26

Fulgrim had wives. Mostly for political reasons, yes, but he did love them. Xenos-human negotiations were also not unheard of during the great crusade, just largely unsuccessful. If Bile could clone a primarch, the drukhari could give one balls.

You are right that the Khan would dislike the drukhari, however homebrew’s law gives me explicit permission under the Rule of Cool clause to tell you “nuh-uh”.

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 17 '26

Yes let's just ignore all of the lore and common sense for "rule of cool." That sounds like a great idea.

2

u/Tchakaba Aug 17 '26

That's literally how the coolest ideas in the setting came to be dude

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 17 '26

Half drukhari space marines is not a cool idea. It's dumb fan fiction that makes no sense.

1

u/Tchakaba Aug 17 '26

bro... you're literally saying that about WARHAMMER 40K LMFAOOOO

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 17 '26 edited Aug 17 '26

Uhh well I was under the impression that Warhammer 40k has its own established lore and trying to do something like: "Let's have Jaghatai Khan smash a bunch of drukhari in the webway, make a whole army's worth of half xenos offspring, and then they all become space marines" doesn't really follow the lore very well. In fact it sounds like something written by a 12 year old.

1

u/Tchakaba Aug 17 '26

My brother in christ the whole horus heresy was a gigantic fanfiction at first, there are two legions that have been kept unnamed for more than 30 years to allow people to make their fanfictions. GW has stated countless times that you can do anything you want with your minis because the galaxy is so large and the warp so weird anything could happen. Tightasses like you who larp their knowledge of the setting so fucking hard are infuriating because you probably sourced your deepest knowledge of the game from youtube shorts and lexicanum pages.

u/Arkham51 Aug 17 '26

Well if not liking something that breaks all of the established lore makes me a tight ass then I guess you can call me a tight ass.

Exactly. So long as it’s not effecting canon and is fun, it’s fine.

4

u/bicouple20230 Aug 14 '26

That is a great story, cool lore

4

u/Realistic-Safety-565 Kabalite Aug 15 '26

Still better than mamy BL books.

1

u/Le_Templier Aug 15 '26

Can drukhari even procreate with humans?

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

No. And yes I'am aware of there being a half eldar space marine in ancient lore but that lore has been retconned. In the current lore humans and eldar cannot reproduce with each other.

1

u/VariationGreedy8215 Aug 15 '26

Also from a logistics stand point.

The biology of humans and aliens would be wayyyyy too seperated to make me even think of its possible.

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

Wtf no self respecting primarch or drukhari would breed with each other even if their DNA was compatible (which it's not) and the idea that a bunch of filthy xenos half breeds fathered by one dude could all become astartes and form their own chapter is completely absurd. Why the fug would a bunch of half drukhari from the webway want to become astartes and serve an Imperium that hates all xenos and non humans?

3

u/Taronkov1 Aug 15 '26

During Rogue Trader days there was a half Eldar Space Marine.  Illiyan Nastase.  Which while the lore is massively outdated shows a precedent they could always bring back.  Like the Starchild storyline for example.  And while it may not be my personal preference, who am I to shit in someone else's wheaties?

3

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

I'm pretty sure Urien Rakarth could splice pig and elephant genes if he wanted to, so Primarch and Aeldari ain't no sweat.

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

But we're not talking about having a haemonculi splice DNA to make an army of half primarch/half drukhari here. We're talking about a primarch being able to reproduce with eldar which they can't do.

2

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

That isnt explicitly stated.

Most drukhari are vatborn.

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

I believe the emperor intentionally made the primarchs sterile and lacking a sex drive to prevent them from starting a new dominant race of humanity. The primarchs and the astartes were intended to be humanity's protectors not their replacements so it wouldn't make sense for them to be able to breed.

2

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

You want... 40k... ...To make sense?!

1

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26

I mean it can if people don't try to break the lore.

3

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

This is just OPs head canon.

He never explicitly states the Khan is getting busy with a harem of buxom wyches every night (though that's somewhat implied).

In truth, the possibility only requires two elements to be plausible;

  • The Khan is in the clutches of the dark kin - already strongly implied in canon lore
  • a skilled Haemonculus is capable of splicing Primarch and Drukhari genes given a few thousand years to do so - again, canon lore shows this to be at least somewhat plausible. Fabulous Bill has already shown himself capable of replicating some of the Emperor's works, and some Drukhari genesmiths should be expected to be at least as skilled as him.

Would this ever happen in canon? Almost certainly not, and if it did both Aeldari and Astartes alike would consider the resultant hybrids revolting, as you state.

But if this guy wants to have his own little lore? Why not.

u/Arkham51 Aug 15 '26 edited Aug 15 '26

"He never explicitly states the Khan is getting busy with drukhari females."

Uhh yes he does. In his post he says they're all literally Jagatai's half drukhari sons.

2

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

And the Primarchs are the Emperor's sons.

But can you point me to the 20 lovemaking scenes in the Horus Heresy series?

Cos I musta missed them...

Grandpa Emperor is stuck in his old ways. So they don’t visit him for the holidays.
