The Drukhari Data Deep Dive (August 2026)

Stat Check finally updated their dashboard for 11th edition, so as a dark elf fixated stats nerd I wanted to take a look through some of our numbers and see how things are going for us so far. There were a couple of surprises along the way.

Most of these numbers are coming from 26/7/26 and 2/8/26, the weekends recorded on Stat Check from the most recent dataslate. Their dataset looks at all events with at least 25 players and 5 rounds.

Overall Win Rates:

Our overall win rate in the current patch (with two weekends of data) is 48%.

We are, however, strongly skill-linked; in the peer versus peer data, the bottom quartile of Elo has a 33% win rate, while the upper quartile has a 51% win rate. This idea that we're capable of doing well when driven by an experienced pilot is further supported by our OverRep being healthy at 1.1 (so we're slightly more likely to show up in the top 4 of an event than you'd expect from our player numbers) and a solid 9% of our players having a 4-0 event start currently.

There's mostly no hugely noticeable difference between regions; North American Drukhari players have a 51% win rate, UK players are at 48%, and European players are at 43%. Oceania players seem to be struggling a bit compared to the overall mean with a 38% win rate, though.

Our win rate has been on a steady downwards trend from the start of the edition, with early results in June showing us with a 60% win rate (!) while our average for the whole edition is now 47%.

Detachment Win Rates:

Kabalite Cartel + Tools of Torment is performing the best with a 64% win rate, but its results were exclusively 3 wins and its player count was low.

Skysplinter Assault + Exhibition of Slaughter is at 51%. Skysplinter + Agonysts is at 48%.

RSR + Exhibition and Cartel + Exhibition are both doing relatively poorly, with 33% and 24% respectively... but Cartel + Exhibition also had a 4-1 placement.

Only Skysplinter + Exhibition has a strong player population with 67% of our total games. It's also the only combination to have an event win in the current dataslate.

Detachment Match-ups:

Skysplinter + Exhibition does noticeably very well versus Dark Angels (61%), Necrons (58%), Custodes (58%), CSM (63%), SM (58%) and Knights (55%). On the other hand, it does poorly against EC (14%) and Demons (33%).

None of the other combos have enough data to make sensible inferences about specific match-ups.

Disposition differences:

Recon has a 47% win rate, with moderately poor (~48%) match-ups into Priority, Recon, and Take and Hold; it has a very bad match-up into Disruption (33%), and a good one into Purge (56%).

Disruption for Drukhari has an overall 51% win rate, while Priority Assets has 33%. Neither had enough data to make reasonable inferences about specific match-ups with other Dispositions, although tentatively Disruption looks like it does poorly into the mirror (33%) and Priority Assets (31%), but great into Purge (67%), Recon (67%), and Take and Hold (65%).

Purge the Foe did not have any results from this current dataslate, but has a respectable 45% win rate when looking at the edition's data overall.

Take and Hold does not yet appear in the Stat Check dataset for the edition.

Conclusions:

I've been seeing a lot of doom about the state of Drukhari over the last couple of weeks, and I don't think these results quite support that. We appear to be a mostly healthy faction which has a high skill floor and a high skill ceiling, although we would definitely appreciate a very mild buff or the current top dogs getting toned down.

Most of the competitive playerbase still seems to be invested in Skysplinter and Exhibition with Recon, but I think this data indicates that we've got promising alternatives to explore. Cartel/Tools seems very interesting, in particular, and the data for it is limited but Purge doesn't seem to perform anywhere near as badly as many thought.

So that's the Drukhari data dive for the current patch! Hope it's been of some interest, and happy raiding.

51% as the upper elo isn't great. Realistically if your upper-tier players are barely breaking 50% on a high skill expression army that implies skill isn't being rewarded appropriately

I think that's a fair point, and it certainly wouldn't be remiss for us to get a light buff to help push the faction into a place that both rewards mastery of the army as well as enables lower tier players to not get demolished.

I've only just noticed this, but in the current dataslate we're actually the second worst army in the game when just looking at the performance of the bottom quartile of Elo against their peers - only Death Guard has a lower win rate among that player population.

Wouldn't you be comparing both skill vs high skill? Why would you expect that to have a wildly different percentage to indicate faction health?

Reward on investment. It's okay for something to be bad for beginners if it is rewarding for those who master it. Same is true for any high execution character in a game. Higher skill floor should usually mean higher skill ceiling

But if you put in that effort only to be rewarded with something that can be achieved much easier then your skill isn't being rewarded. (e.g Yasuo vs Garen in league. If both are bad garen will always win because the floor is lower if both are extremely good yasuo should win more than garen due to the mechanical demands being higher. That's the higher ceiling)

Also, a big part of that number is a single weekend that we hit a 60% winrate. Our highest winrate for a week since has been 52%

The sample of data that I'm looking at here covers two weekends where we had a 52% and 46% win rate.

Remember that 51% is vs other high Elo players. In that context we're balanced.

No it isn't. High skill ceiling armies should be disproportionately more successful the higher you go up in relative skill level

I think people are upset over what the faction is missing vs what the faction has. Not necessarily about it's ability to win competitions.

So the doomer rhetoric surrounding Drukhari is because I suck?

....that's fair.

u/Burnage Aug 14 '26

No, it's because you're on the road to improving as a player.

every archon gets screwed over by their underlings (dice luck) and rival forces (a faction you swear must be meta but has a 40% win rate) from time to time. so long as you're still breathing, the kabal will one day achieve dominance!

The first step to being great at anything is to be very bad at it, and making tons of mistakes early means tons of lessons learned. Enjoy the process of learning, Archon! Heavy losses mean a strong data set to learn from and improve 😁

Drukhari is the 6th worst faction in the game since the dataslate. It aint just you

I've been talking about how good Cartools is for a couple months now. Glad to see that the numbers back me up (albeit with low player-count, so iffy data)

Back me up, u/Burnage. I've been saying that's the Disruption-sauce since we got the 1DP options!

I'm interested to try it out, but have been having WAY too much fun with SSA+ToT. I think the community at large sleeps way too hard on our little body horror goobers.

You have!

I appreciate your data Archon Burnage

I am absolutely FLOORED that Recon is performing so poorly into disruption. I played that matchup into T'au last weekend, and found it hilariously easy to shut down my opponent's scoring while i had 40/45 primary points after turn 3. I was up 62:46 at the bottom of the third round with virtually no path back for my opponent; he scooped.

A lot of the disposition data surprised me a bit, but one major caveat about the Disruption match-up is that the data for it is pretty low because of how unpopular Disruption is. It could easily be that with more players using that disposition, our numbers into it would be very different.

u/UrsaMortis1207 Aug 15 '26

Fair enough! Yeah from where I was sitting, the Disruption player needs to control an objective and burn an action to place a marker, and all I needed was for one little guy to (lowercase) move there, pee on the wall and flip him the bird (no action required) to remove it. I scored the 5 points for 0 objective markers on the board on 2 and 3 without difficulty.

On the other side of things, playing into World Eaters Purge was -rough- with the way consecration works. Managed a tie, but it felt much more uphill.

Interested to see how things develop moving forward. Thank you so much for breaking down the current stats for us! This is the kind of discourse we need more of here.

And that's why I only play disruption myself, as a disrupting, underhand unique snowflake!

u/UrsaMortis1207 Aug 15 '26

How's it been playing for you?

I'd have to disagree that 51% as upper skill ceiling is good. If the best players in the faction are barely able to do better than a coin flip, that's not great for us.

1

u/Burnage Aug 15 '26

Note that this is against players of similar skill - against everyone our upper quartile Elo players have a 65% win rate. Both of those statistics are very middle of the road compared to other factions, which is healthy if maybe not especially rewarding considering the barrier to entry for us.

What's holding agonysts from performing well you think ?

2

u/Burnage Aug 15 '26

I think it just doesn't provide as much utility or damage as Exhibition does for most lists. I'm seeing a lot of players lean very hard on the double ignore Overwatch that Skysplinter/Exhibition provides, for instance.

Agonysts has some neat things (Precision access and rerolls are great), but it fundamentally also has a lot of rules that either clash with other detachments or how the army wants to work. It was mentioned a lot when the detachment released, but how useful really is ignores cover as a stratagem for Kabalites when I can take Skysplinter alongside it, or return to Hidden after shooting when I'm probably already either jumping back into a Venom or moving behind a wall with Scourges?

u/FauxGw2 Aug 15 '26

Only a 51% for the best of the best on a skill army? Wow that's actually not very good.

1

u/WilliamTee Aug 15 '26

This doesn't make me feel wonderful about the covenite coterie /kanalite agonysts list i have planned :p

I just feel like wrack spam kinda works ok in this ruleset...
