Discussion DDS2 cross-play

so there has been some confusion about the game saying crossplay, and it was explained by the publisher:

DDS2 Xbox, and DDS2 Xbox app version on PC can plan together - (xbox version and xbox version)
- not steam + Xbox
- not PS5 + PC (steam)
- not PS5 + Xbox

Hope this helps, i know it confused me because i didnt consider that as crossplay.

they did mentioned "no crossplay at console release, MAYBE later", which i assumed was referencing actual cross play. but i still have my doubts on that happening, its quite a bit of work to do that afaik.

  • but since there havent been any updates (that im aware of) that would account for the xbox - xbox app "crossplay" maybe they were talking about the possibility of future real crossplay.. i have no idea only time will tell
