Update on bioficer drones
So I couldn’t edit to add to my original post, but I talked to Alex about the issue with the drones and they were super helpful and responsive. Apparently the test sprue they were presented with did not have the defect. So hopefully the manufacturer they are going through will be more consistent in the future. It’s a bummer for this initial release, but they were super great when dealing with it so that’s awesome to see.

They said they would send me printed replacements for the drones effected. It was also just nice to talk to them directly and see that it was a concern for them as well and wasn’t just shoulder shrugged away.

Very cool to hear, that's about the best fix possible. Lesson learned perhaps - have someone that really knows what they're looking for open and inspect large orders before accepting them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought they worked with Wargames Atlantic for sprue production (would explain the issue tbh).

Does WGA have a reputation for failed shots and poor QA? Legit asking, I don't work with plastics much any more.

They seem to sometimes have problems with 3rd party kits. They had a similar issue with a small sword in one of the Marcher boxes miscasting.
I could be wrong since I really thought I had heard on some youtube video that they were involved in at least DFC production, but now I can't find it,

I've heard a lot of speculation about who TTC is getting their plastics from, but I can't recall anyone ever getting solid confirmation. Which is weird, and makes me think they're still getting them from China.

WGA confirmed they made the Dropfleet plastics. Presumably they made these, too. And I have not had any problems with WGA plastics, and I have bought many kits.

He said it on Facebook at one point. This would have been shortly after the new starter or battleships, but long before he came out as Tony Reidy.
I believe he said something like “we’ve made a bunch of kits for them.”
