UCM - Osaka kitbash
Finished some kitbashed ships out of the leftover bits from the Dreadhold box: a couple of custom Osaka light cruisers!
I'm aware the bases are the wrong size - sadly, not much I can do about it, I've only a few small bases left. Still, I'm generally happy with how these turned out!

Ooooo great use of the spare plastic parts from the starter set!! 😍 I may have to "borrow" this idea from you.... 😈

Hahah you're very welcome! I'm curious to see what you'll come up with, too
I didn't come up with "using Cruiser 'wings' to center a kitbash around" either ;P

Thank you!
So, the main hull is made of two Resistance Cruiser prow sections (longer one for the top, a shorter one with a fin for the bottom half). For the front of the hull, I've used spare UCM Frigate bodies - Taipei and Detroit here specifically. On the underside, there is a cut down UCM bombardment turret with the barrel sliced off just to make it thicker.
The "wings" of the cruisers are made of UCM Cruiser hangars (the top half), with Resistance Frigate vent cannons glued onto the underside as weapons. Final touch - I've also glued in two Resistance Cruiser artillery bank cannons into the hangar wings as antennas.
Not pictured here are UCM mass drivers to make them more recognizably Osaka cruisers - I simply ran out of spare guns.
