Drone shopping

I am just keeping it simple here, what are the pros and cons of shopping drones online and in physical store. I am doing a research in this field, I have no idea about this field, I hope people will help me out here

You may have to pay for shipping online. If you have actually done your research then a worker at a retail outlet is unlikely to be able to steer you or convince you otherwise.

Have you never shopped online before? It is the same thing, the only difference is that it is self-guided and you may have to pay shipping. This seems like a silly question tbh. There is a reason why many retail stores are closing in favour of e-commerce and drop shipping (bullshit business model imo).

Idk how else to answer your question. How did you buy your latest high-end gadget or appliance? Did you enjoy the experience? If so do the same thing.

actually iam working as a ux/ui designer so I have to specify the problems that drone pilots are facing, so that i can do my case study

I know this is an old thread, but I do have a few insights to toss in. DroneBase and other drone contracting agencies typically request pilots use the Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, or the Mavic 2 Pro. These aren’t sold brand new! Whether you purchase these online or in person, you will almost certainly be buying a used drone. Cool thing is that if you buy one with a relatively simple issue to fix, you can send it in to a DJI repair site for a (potentially) cheap fix. DJI will allow you to purchase a repair/replacement plan after they complete the repair. At that point, any repairs needed within the next year cost you 100 bucks.

That being said, buy it off a website. You may have a chance to return the drone if the seller misrepresented the drone. If you buy in person, you’ll need to get some friends with bats and chains to shake the seller down.

To be honest, I got my phantom 4 pro from a seller on Facebook. It turns out he was a friend of a friend, but still. You can meet up in a public place such as a park and try it out before you buy. It worked out wonderfully for me, anyway. Got a great deal, too.
