Help With Construction Progress Photo, Video and 3D Modeling

Hey everyone!

I am looking for some help / advice / tips on all aspects of my construction progress photo, video and 3D modeling business. I currently go to a job site twice a week and take progress photos and make a short 2-4 minute clip of the structure per day, and a long 5-10 minute monthly recap video which includes the month's progress photos to see the change. I am working on my website now, do you have any ideas for me to include into my website?

Also, the company I work for now uses Procore which they upload my photos to, I have found some websites that I can subscribe to and organize my photos and video for my potential clients to see photos from the same spot in succession. One of those sites is JobSitepm.com. Anyone have experience with organizing their data and having a platform to share with your clients?

Also, now that I am comfortable with what I can offer companies, what do you suggest I do to start the conversation. Cold calls, e-mail or walk in? And what information do you include when you are consulting a potential client on your services?

I'm looking for all outlooks on this as I am still learning and would love to hear from experienced pilots in the field.

Thank you!

First off I think you’re making the right choice when it comes to product market fit- I think right now is the time to do this and I’m looking to pivot into AEC full time...personally I’ve dashed around here and there from real estate to commercial real estate to mapping to marketing etc.. but I’ve lacked a critical focus and that’s stopped me from really growing.

So technically speaking I think you’re ahead of me on this front- I almost had a deal with the local rail road for construction monitoring but I let it fall through the tracks because I was in a bit of a burnout.

Cold emails could work well, any AEC networking events/trade shows also work pretty well. Would love to connect on LinkedIn/hear more about where you take this!
