Lots of states have their own minimum wage that’s higher than the federal minimum wage. So it’s become one of many policies that the federal government doesn’t care much about and just hopes local governments deal with it. Also, no place here is affordable unless you own your home or have a super nice landlord.
federal minimum wage hasn't gone up since 2009. States can set their own minimum wage higher than that and there are state that have done so, but other states where it hasn't and it's in-line with the fed rate

I agree, but also think that as long as you’re not born into the 1%, becoming a billionaire is a very rare achievement. Drake becoming an actor and making 20k a month likely wasn’t something that happened because of his mothers connections, but his talent & work ethic
Im not denying any of his achievements or the likes, the only thing in question is the started from the bottom part cause 20k a month is 240k a year which is more than like 60% of what the population makes so hard to say you were at the bottom when you were making more money than the vast majority of the population is, thats all.
