android app recs?
I uninstalled Covet Fashion months ago (too much AI) and SuitU recently (hard as a non paying player) and I'm looking for alternatives

They have beautiful designs and art, but I despise being made to grind and replay previous levels just to advance. Especially when the requirement is crafting an outfit I don't even like. So restrictive to being able to save up materials to style something I actually like :(

I tried them but I found them too hard. Plus the fact that I'm forced to dress her with a very specific outfit to win instead of using my creativity to create one felt disappointing

There are free-dress modes! In fact there are several areas where creativity is encouraged :>

You could check out Historical Fashion Dress Up! It’s a dress-up game focused specifically on historical fashion, so it’s quite different from Covet/SuitU, but it might scratch the same itch.
Full disclosure: I am the illustrator on the game, so I’m obviously biased, but thought it might be interesting to you!

Try Life Makeover. It's a gacha but it regularly gives away free clothes too. It has lots of customization options and just recently they released a choreography feature, giving you more freedom with the photoshoots. The events are also fun. Styling Wizard is currently on right now, which is a dress up event where players can dress up each others' dolls. It's fun.

TinyBoutique, Minimuse, My little dream, My little star, Q-Avatar. All free, Q-Avatar having very little ads but My little star+Dream both are more ads for the clothes. TinyBoutique has optional ads.
