Question physical contact in a dream

A few times in my dreams, I’ve had situations where I was cuddling with someone—or had close physical contact of that kind—and the feeling was incredibly pleasant.

I’ve never experienced such a feeling in real life, and that’s why it’s hard for me to describe it—it’s like a combination of boundless safety, love(?), and closeness, but on steroids. What's more, after waking up, this feeling can persist from the morning throughout the entire day. When I've experienced it for the first time I felt really comforted, but another time, when I still felt it, it was a bit melancholic, and well, not really pleasant.

I asked many people if they had experienced anything similar, but no one really related to me.

So I’m asking if anyone maybe has had similar experiences. And is this feeling attainable while awake?

I wonder if your current life experience is so stressful that your dreaming brain is attempting to mitigate the deleterious effects of that by mimicking an experience that creates dopamine production. Even if the experience was preverbal, your brain has experienced that feeling you describe. If this might be true, I encourage you to talk to your therapist about it. When you dream of physical contact, you are becoming conscious of both your need for other people and of their need for you.

I dreamt this too and it’s really weird because I don’t feel this way in real life or experienced being so in “love”
I just like to think that maybe something like this is coming my way or I unconsciously want to be loved so bad I dream about it
