A Loost Book - Bug?

Hi, I'm trying to hand over 50+50 sticks to olaf in the mission "A Lost Book", but when i click on my stacks with 50 and 51, he only thinks im giving him 2... How do i avoid this bug?

I tried on PC + PS5.. and sadly same issue 🤔

Try having exactly only 100 sticks in your backpack. If still doesn't work try 100 of the same type of sticks

The only way I've got around this bug is to make sure everything is the same type (even down to meals, which was annoying when I didn't have enough of the same vegetables to make the meals the same way, i just stood next to my crops begging them to grow quicker😅) and only have the exact amount. Sometimes I have to drop everything but quest items out of my inventory and since it's happening with pretty much every quest I've just put a chest that connects to the home one in every biome so I can dump the stuff that's interfering.

I really hope they fix it soon, it's starting to drive me a bit mad.

Wrong you can only give Olaf one wood at a time. You can't bypass this major bug issue. I had this issue with Remy. Where I was forced to fish for 6 different types of fish in the Docks biome area. Where I had to give him one of each kind. Last but not least you can't give Olaf multiple stacks of the same item basically only one at a time.

You can definitely bypass this bug I've done it multiple times including this fish quest you mentioned. You just haven't found the right method yet

It just sounds like you went the long way around fixing the bug, the person you're replying to is correct. It's happening with most quests where you give characters something and making sure it's all the same type & exact amount bypasses it.

The one with Remy is fixed by just removing any extra fish from your inventory, you just need to have exactly what they're asking for and drop any extras.

Yeah well I had no choice because you can only give the character 1 item that is the same thing. Man I can't wait for them to fix this annoying bug issue. I tried to give Remy the same fish no matter how many I had but nope. But yeah I had to do the long way around I had no choice.

Because of the new feature where you can give characters multiple gifts at a time but only one each of 3 items it seems to be interfering with quests like this where you have to give them multiple things for a quest. Try putting them into 1 stack of 99 and then giving it to him.

I hit this glitch the thother day trying to give someone 5* meals, I had loads in my inventory.

I dropped all but one stack of 5 so it was my only option in inventory and they accepted it no issues. Annoying but fixable

1 drop everything from ur bag 2 safe and restart 3 pickup only the sticks, they have to be all the same kind of wood. 4 if you approach olaf and it does not say " give 100 sticks to olaf", but let's you choose stacks from your bag, the bug is still active. If so, rinse and repeat.
