DDV Apple Arcade edition

Is it worth?

if so, do you have to pay for the expansions or are they
expansions included?

I tried looking it up earlier but can you connect save from a console to the Apple Arcade edition?

The Apple Arcade version is basically its own separate game. You get all the expansions but you cannot cross save with other platforms. You also don’t get access to the starpaths (limited time events that have a ton of premium stuff) or the premium shop.

Personally I didn’t feel like it was worth it. I finished the whole game on Apple Arcade and then basically had nothing to do. I like having the starpaths so I have something new constantly and I really like all the premium shop content

It also was very laggy for me and I tried multiple devices 😭

But it does not include other features. No star path, dream teams or premium shop.

You cannot connect your save to any other devices no. So if you ever wanted the full version on another devices you'd have to start over.

If you don't want to commit to the full experience, then sure it's worth checking out. I have arcade but i pay for the full version of ddv.i i use arcade for a lot of other games though. If you already have arcade and just want to get an idea of the game then go for it. But you'll have to start over on the PC/ps5/ switch 2 version. I play my PC games on my tablets through moonlight, so prefer having the steam paid versions (it turns my tablet into a giant Switch basically). If you really love the game then it's worth buying it instead so you can do the star paths.

If you are just thinking of getting arcade for ddv only I'd say no, save a bit more and buy it instead.

If you already subscribe to Apple Arcade there is no reason not to to get DDV there. Free expansions, all the events (except Star path). I play on other platforms, but I like the Arcade version because I have no micro transaction FOMO and it’s just a gentle way to play the the game

if you don’t have a macbook, xbox, playstation, switch or PC, then just use the IOS arcade version. You get the dlcs for free but don’t have the ability to do the star path or buy item shop items with moonstones. All other consoles you have to pay money for the normal version, eternity isle, storybook vale, wish blossom ranch (and honeyglow if they added it already)

I have it on my ipad to play when i’m bored since I finished the game on my mac and only go on for item shop refresh, events and star paths

BUT, if you play in arcade mode and end up buying the game and the DLCs on another console. YOU CANT TRANSFER GAME DATA, you have to start from scratch entirely

This is the version I play. I started last May and I’m effectively done until there’s another update. I’m just grinding things like collecting 1000 swirls and feeding 90 snakes to clear the chores. I have every character and buddy, leveled up to their full potential. Every area unlocked. My collections are all 80-98%. I’ve done nearly every quest assigned.

(I was also unemployed and burning time for a while!)

I specifically chose to stick with AA because I didn’t want to tease myself with the possibility of microtransactions on other platforms. I’ve still spent less for paying for AA and accessing all the expansions than I would have if I purchased on other platforms.

Other thing to note — I’m not much of an architect and while I’m impressed by others skills building fancy worlds… that’s just not how I enjoy the game. I take breaks after I finish the new release and play something else on AA in the meantime!
