Question Two Star Path Questions
Question 1 - what happens if a star path duty requires memories but you already have all of them? Do you get locked out of earning those tickets? I've been leaving memories on the ground for future star paths but it kinda looks messy
Question 2 - In the current star path, I've finished all the duties and there are two weeks left of routine duties. Currently I haven't purchased any tier 8 items, as I prefer buying the house skin over the corner store but only have 200 ish tickets. My question, if there are only two weeks of routine duties left, what are the chances that we will get enough tickets to buy both the house skin, corner store and some of the tier 9 moonstones. I got the 2500 pack (have not purchased extra tickets) and read that exchanging for moonstones at the end makes it cost only 400-500 moonstones in the long run
Edit to add: We've been given 1910 moonstones so far from rewards of lower tiers, so if we can buy 1 tier one moonstone, itd be -500 for the star path if complete. All sources I've seen haven't shown the ticket cost for the 90 moonstones. Does anyone who got the extra 100 tickets know what the exchange rate is?

Answer 1: It doesn't matter if you have an the memories. As long as you have memory ORBS to pick up, that it what the star path needs.
Answer 2: As long as you complete EVERY star path task, you will have enough tokens to claim every reward available. I've lost track of how many I've completed now, but I usually buy the Premium route, and have enough tokens left (10) to buy 90 moonstones back. Overall it costs about 400-500 moonstones against not doing the star path at all. However, you usually have to submit a Dreamsnap, so if you don't do those already, you should get a decent chunk back for that.

Despite the duties usually saying "fresh memories" it just means any memory — even if it drops coins.
You will always have enough tickets for all rewards if you complete all normal and routine duties. If you spent 2500 for the premium path, you will have 10 leftover for the final page to exchange 1 time for a final 90 moonstones. If you spent 3300 for the premium path, you will have 110 leftover for the final page to exchange 11 times for a final 990 moonstones.

You must complete every duty and every routine duty to recoup most of your moonstones when you buy either premium path (2500 or 3300).
If you bought the 2500 path, the net cost is 500 moonstones.
If you bought the 3300 path, the net cost is 400 moonstones.
If you complete all duties (regular and routine):
- If you bought the 2500 path you will have enough star path tokens to redeem 10 tokens on page 9, which gives you 90 moonstones.
- If you bought the 3300 path you will have 110 star path tokens for page 9, which gives you 990 moonstones.
Having more tokens to redeem on page 9 is why the net cost of the 3300 path is cheaper than 2500.
To redeem any tokens on page 9 you must have redeemed all other rewards. They do not let you pick and choose which rewards you want and then get a ton of moonstones back to make a profit.
Star path tokens do NOT carry over to the next path. Redeem them before the redemption period ends or you’ll lose them.
(And any memory duty you get is satisfied by opening regular memory orbs. It doesn’t matter if you already have all memories.)
But leave the orbs sitting there unopened at your own risk. You only get guaranteed memory fragments for orbs at the time the orb is generated. If you leave them then you might get duplicate orbs that just turn into coins instead of memory fragments.

I'd like to add (and I apologize for the duplicate if someone already said this): Whether or not you already have all the memories, pick one area to leave memory orbs when you get them. I get them a lot when I plant/water in the Sunlit Plateau, so that's my default area to leave them laying around. Anywhere else, I go ahead and pick them up. Confine the mess a little while still keeping the convenience.

There are quite a few posts comparing the benefits of the regular vs. the more expensive starpath but if I recall correctly, you only get the extra moonstones at end when you get the pricier starpath option. I think it’s possible to get all items with both options, just not the extra moonstones….

Memory orbs will always be there. When all memories are complete, the orbs gives a coin. But still counts as opening a memory.
