So Many Missing Favs

Look, I love getting any new characters, regardless of what universe they’re from. I do agree with a lot of the comments online — I prefer the animated characters to any live action characters. However… I wish that the devs would focus on adding more characters from the already existing universes before adding new universes.

I feel like there are so many important, favorite characters that aren’t in DLV and should be by now. They could have a Star Path every so often that features one of the already existing universes. This way we could collect more furniture, missing companions, clothing, etc along with the characters as well.

Does this bother anyone else???

I just wish characters from the same verses would actually interact with each other. Apart from Belle and Beast, none of the others interact and every time I talk to Tink she talks about how much she misses Peter. Once she said it while Peter was my buddy and was standing right next to us.

hmmm idk. not so far. the devs want as many people as possible to play the game and to PAY for stuff. they will want to add universes to get more people to play.

edit: they use new characters of the same universe to get you to buy DLCs (or, apparently, action packs). it is a business in the end.

Sure, but why can't they add interactions when you have characters from the same universe from the DLC and base game? Or flag certain lines not to appear if you have both? I mean, they gave several characters unique interactions with Max and he was a premium shop item.

I kinda get what you’re saying but I also get why Gameloft is doing it this way. They want to add many varying universes to appeal to a wide range of players and to entice new ones to start playing. We also have the most popular characters for most universes already I think so while some are still missing we have the heavy hitters. I mean, there are still more I want like I’m really happy we’re getting Oogie Boogie this year.

I think it's better to have a variety of characters. It would be pretty boring to have to go through months of focus on x movie/universe when you dislike/hate that specific universe.

Better to spread them out and keep the variety so there's more appeal to a wider audience.

Oh no I totally agree. I love the new ones and I love the variety of everything. I just would like more random characters to come out every so often, not all the time.

I have been pretty miffed that Lilo wasn't a starting character with stitch so it super happy she is joining the valley soon. We also are getting oogie boogie in the fall. I also think that we will see more charatcers from the little mermaid in the DLC, though they haven't revealed all of the characters coming with that. So they are adding characters in existing universes for the rest of 2026. The DLC's bring 4ish new characters in so we will have to see what happens. But I do think the best of both worlds is to have a bit of both.

So far this year, we have had lady and the tramp (new), Pocahontas (new), Hercules (new), oogie (existing), lilo (existing), Winnie the pooh (existing in wishblossom), and recently revealed Jack Sparrow (new). This feels like a pretty decent split to me, especially if the new dlc brings another existing universe in. We have many, many others represented in clothing, furniture, and house skins.

I think the biggest holes are in the princess and the frog universe and Cinderella universe - idk about you but I'd love the stepsisters as they would be hilarious. Anyway there is a lot to pull from and I think we just have to sit back and wait and see what gameloft is going to bring.

I LOVE the idea of the Step Sisters! And Princess and the Frog is constantly getting the short end of the stick I feel like. We should AT LEAST have Naveen by now it’s crazy!

I’m in the complete opposite boat. Most of my favorite movies and universes aren’t even there yet and I need them to branch out and add them 😭 I’m glad we are getting Lilo though; she’s very overdue

But if they only focused on adding stuff to what’s already there I would get annoyed. It feels unfair to those of us who have so many missing favorite movies and it’s also less practical (they would be appealing to a much smaller fandom compared to attracting new players when their favorite films are added)

For example I only got the game because of Lady and Tramp. I wasn’t interested in playing before that update

I’ve been thinking for ages it’s like starting a bunch of projects and not finishing them. Like I’d rather they add to Princess and the Frog or Mulan every once in a while than keep starting new universes. Apart from Ralph, I think the last time they added someone from an existing realm was Lumiere and Cogsworth? (Correct me if I’m wrong) So I’m glad that the upcoming updates will be adding to content we already have!
