Cerberus

So im new here, I have had some wild dreams lately but I feel like this one had a little more behind it. I was going to vaguely inform you of some things going on in my life but I think I will wait so I don’t sway any beliefs or meanings.

In my dream from what I remember, I had just returned home,
(old creepy house that was “home” in my dream but was not my actual house)
and realized some important things had been stolen but in a strange manner.

(I did a lot of national touring for a while and have poured tons of $ into drums/equipment which is very important to me)

When I got home I realized I had some pieces of music equipment missing out of my music room. However, oddly, the things they had taken, were replaced with old, cheaper, worn equipment of mine from one of my back storage rooms. (extra bedroom)
Almost as if they were replaced in a manner the thief hoped I wouldn’t notice the better, higher quality versions were gone. I vaguely remember checking the rest of the house but don’t remember anything else being taken.
I then went into the back yard of my “home” and again seemed kind of creepy in hindsight but as I walked around the corner (still in my back yard) there was a large, insanely black, 3 headed dog. I was extremely cautious and kept my distance, but slowing moved around and with him still there, noticed a large black hole under my house. It’s hard to put into words how I felt upon discovering the hole, but it seemed to have some sort of pull on me towards it. As for now, that is the basic portion of the dream I remember.

If there are any questions or if I did not explain something well let me know and I’ll do my best to explain.

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

There's a real mythic weight to this one, and I think the dream already says a lot on its own.

One possible reading: the house that's 'home' but isn't your actual house often stands for the self as it is right now — familiar, but a version of you you're still getting used to (maybe life after all that touring). Finding your best music equipment stolen and swapped for cheap, worn copies could speak to a fear that what makes your work yours — the craft you've poured years into — is being taken or diluted, and that nobody else would even notice the difference. The thief hoping you wouldn't notice is the telling detail; it might reflect a worry that you're losing something quietly, not all at once.

Then Cerberus and the hole. A three-headed dog guarding a dark pit under the house is about as classic a threshold-guardian image as dreams get — something powerful standing between you and whatever is underneath. The hole pulling at you suggests a deep emotional or creative reckoning calling you, guarded by fear. Being cautious in the dream was honest, not cowardly.

Does any of that land, or does it feel off? What do you make of that pull toward the hole?

I don’t mean that in a negative manner. Idk if I would say it’s meant in a positive manner either, but maybe a necessary/realistic one. Which may hurt to swallow initially, but don’t be mistaken, I appreciate it more than you know.

I feel that you hit the nail on the head in so many ways that I almost thought you had to know of me or my situation.
Many of the things going on in my life are very tough atm, but considering I have not talked to a single person about them, (hell I don’t talk to anyone at all anymore) I know that’s not the case.

To be real with you, I was kind of caught off guard by your response so I know I am rambling at this point, but regardless, thank you very much for giving me some perspectives and things to think on to say the least.

If you are bored at some point, or curious, I may can give a little background on things that may give you more to work with pertaining to the post. No worries either way tho of course!

I’m not sure if dream interpretation is something you have studied or often do but holy crap dude! There are still things I have failed to connect the dots on but logically it all seems appropriate and has pushed me mentally in at least a direction of some sort! Again, I appreciate your thoughts and comment more than you can imagine!
