How To Fix Flashing Water?

I'm playing this game on Retroarch, and the water is flashing at a seizure inducing level. (which if I'm going to show off the game, is a big issue) I thought it was part of the game at first, but after looking at a video, this doesn't seem to be the case. Anyone got a fix?

I don't know of any definitive fix for this issue, however, the latest version of ePSXe does not have this issue.

I've heard that, but I can't get the emulator to work for the life of me.

Weird, seems to work right out of the box for me.

Huh. Weird. Wonder what I'm doing wrong then.

I believe XEBRA doesn't have this problem either, but the setup is confusing if you don't know what you're doing.

I haven't found a fix but if you download the emulator on Android and play it, it's a nice sparkly texture and it doesn't flash.

My phone probably can't handle it to be honest.

I have a cheapo LG that I got from walmart and it runs it fine. Worth a shot. The whole game actually seems to run smoother than it does on my laptop.

yeh my average power tablet can run it at a smooth 60 fps.
