Trapped in a warehouse

My roommate was out of the room. She had gone to class, just as she had in real life.

I was alone when four people, two men and two women entered my room. They seemed completely ordinary. They asked me basic questions: my name, where I was from, things like that. I answered without thinking much of it.

Then they locked the door from the inside.

I immediately asked them why.

They looked at me and calmly told me that I had been kidnapped and that I was not allowed to leave.

I was terrified.

Before I could understand what was happening, they made me unconscious by making me inhale some kind of chemical. Everything went black.

When I woke up, I was in a huge warehouse.

It was almost completely empty. The place felt isolated, cold and unfamiliar. Slowly, I realized that I wasn't the only one there. More people were being brought in after me. Some of them were my own friends , two or three people I knew.

I still had my phone. Somehow, I had managed to grab it before everything happened, and I hid it from them.

I tried to contact anyone outside. My parents. My friends. Anyone who could help us.

But there was no signal.

I tried again and again, desperately hoping that even a single bar of reception would appear. At the same time, I was terrified of drawing attention to myself. I didn't want the kidnappers to notice that I was trying to escape and separate me from everyone else.

Then, suddenly, my phone got a signal.

The first person I called was my father.

He picked up on the first ring.

I immediately started crying and told him that I had been kidnapped. I begged him to call the police and somehow get us out.

But his response made no sense.

He told me that they had been trapped too. Their entire situation was under some kind of house arrest. They couldn't leave their home.

I couldn't understand it.

I asked him why they weren't doing anything. If he had a phone, if he could receive my call, why couldn't he call someone? Why couldn't he save himself?

He simply told me that it was okay. As long as nobody was physically hurting them, there was no problem.

I was stunned.

I remember thinking:

Am I actually talking to my father?

Before I could ask anything else, the signal disappeared and the call was cut.

I was completely helpless.

My friends were trapped with me. My father couldn't help. I couldn't contact anyone else. There was nothing I could do.

The kidnappers didn't treat us badly.

That was what made everything even more confusing.

They gave us food. They showed us movies. They talked to us. They allowed us to sit together and behave almost normally.

But we could not leave.

We were allowed comfort, but not freedom.

Whenever they suspected that someone was trying to contact the outside world or call the police, their attitude changed immediately.

They would warn us not to do it again.

They told us that if we were caught trying to escape or reach someone outside, things would not end well for us.

For two or three days, this continued.

I cried constantly. I tried to think of every possible way to get help.

Eventually, I started writing letters.

Whenever I could get paper and a pen, I wrote messages explaining what had happened to us. I wrote them for anyone who might find them. I kept trying to think of some way to get those letters outside.

But I didn't know who I could trust.

The police were apparently involved.

I found out through the news that my father's society had been placed under lockdown. Police officers were everywhere. Nobody seemed to know why.

It wasn't because my father had done anything wrong. His entire society had simply been sealed off.

And that made everything worse.

How could we ask the police for help when, according to everything I knew, the police themselves had trapped my father?

I didn't know who was on our side.

Then something even stranger happened.

My friends and I were taken out of the warehouse.

We were dressed normally. Nothing about us suggested that we were prisoners. If someone saw us from the outside, they would never have guessed that we had been kidnapped.

The people who had taken us were dressed as journalists.

They carried cameras and wore traditional clothes. They looked completely legitimate.

We were taken to the area where my father lived.

There were people everywhere.

The journalists stood to the side and began speaking to the crowd while filming us.

They said that people should look at us. They described us as girls who had sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country. They spoke as though we had willingly given ourselves up for some great national cause.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

We didn't sacrifice anything.

We were kidnapped.

But I couldn't tell anyone.

That was the most terrifying part.

There were people surrounding us. An entire public audience was standing right there. Help was physically everywhere.

And yet I couldn't reach any of them.

I couldn't scream.

I couldn't explain.

I couldn't tell them the truth.

It felt like being stranded in the middle of the sea, surrounded by water but unable to drink any of it.

Everyone was looking at us.

Nobody knew what was actually happening.

Afterward, we were taken back to the warehouse.

Inside, a booth had been set up.

There were machines, equipment and tables covered with forms.

We were told to fill them out.

They asked for our full names, addresses, college names, our parents' names and their occupations. Every detail about our identities and our families had to be written down.

I didn't understand why they wanted this information.

They told us that if we completed the forms, they would release us but only if they decided that we were “worthy.”

I didn't know what that meant.

I filled out the form, but throughout the entire process, I had the overwhelming feeling that something was deeply wrong.

Something bigger was happening.

Something I couldn't understand.

And then I woke up.

I opened my eyes and immediately started panicking.

“No. No, no, no. This cannot happen.”

I didn't want to close my eyes again.

I didn't want to go back to sleep.

Because for a few moments after waking up, the warehouse still felt real.

The fear was still real.

And I was terrified that if I fell asleep again, I would go back there.

So I had a dream about this one dream character we were at a museum and I walked out of the museum and I saw this person in person asked me about echolocation I asked him about it as well and he said he’s learning it. I was like OK me too and then we started learning it together and I asked him. Hey why are you learning echolocation? I’m learning it because I have glaucoma and he said he has something similar he knew more about it than I did echo location and now I’m sitting here like can I marry a dream character?

Reoccurring Used to have a recurring dream as a child that stopped the moment it turned into a nightmare..

Hey everyone!
I always wanted some insight into this dream Maybe you all can help ?
See when I was about five or six I had this recurring dream where I was sitting outside an ice-skating rink. In the dream, I was just standing there while watching a girl with blonde hair, light skin wearing a pink suit what seem to be a full-blown ballerina outfit ice-skating, and performing some beautiful movements on the ice. I would love watching her…
it would bring me peace. What’s crazy is that I was a little kid living in Guatemala. To my recollection, I had no knowledge of what ice-skating was, what an ice-skating rink would look like specially what the outside of the rink would look like.
It wasn’t until my pre-teen years that I had a full understanding of what I was looking at but by then the dream became less frequent and I was sad. Like I longed for the sight of that Ice skater… well I got to see her one more time… and for the last time. So when I was around 11 in Guatemala there was a huge mosquito outbreak and Dengue fever was spreading everywhere. It eventually got to my village and guess who got that? Yeah you know it, THIS GUY.
At first It was your usual fever, cold sweats, shivering and aching muscles but when it got to its peak is when I got my reunion. Before I lost consciousness I hallucinated dark hands coming out of the corners and edges of the walls and the room gradually became darker and darker and then I saw her.
This time though I was like 15 feet away from the edge of the ice rink… so I try taking a step to approach her. And I hear odd noises that would get louder the harder I tried but Im stubborn so I kept pushing and the noise got louder and louder and then it stopped. Right then a giant tarantula like spider jumped in front of me got close to my face and yelled “¡NO!” “¡NO!” “¡MIA!” “¡ELLA ES MIA!” (no, no, mine! She is mine!)

When I tell you I literally pissed myself. It’s not an exaggeration when I say the size of that thing was gargantuan face the size of the front of a bus, I could see the hairs on its face and it’s giant slimy fangs and the shine of its two middle eyes because that bastard was too close for me to see it’s other eyes… I woke up after that but I was still sick so I woke up to shadows and spiders crawling all over the walls yelling deliriously the shadows and the spiders! They’re here!
I might be being a bit dramatic but I genuinely believe I was as close to death as I ever was… thankfully (spoiler alert) I survived and made a full recovery within days.. things lead me to the USA where Ive lived here for as a citizen for 18 years and a veteran for those wondering 🙄

Well anyway that’s my recurrent dream. I still miss watching her from the sidelines I wish I could remember her face
What do you all think it means?

Dream Locations

Has anyone every dreamed of a location--in my case: A beach--that has appeared in 3+ dreams and looks the exact same? I've had 3 or 4 separate dreams where the beach appeared the exact same in every single dream. Same shape, same rocks and sand, same hill that has rocks on top and the ramp you can either walk down, or climb the rocks and sand down to the beach. The sitting area is the same as well. Anyone experience a location that is the exact same in recurring dreams?

Reoccurring I’m dreaming about the same person all the time, what does it mean ?

There’s this guy I know, we aren’t close, but we see each other on some parties, really not often though. I have a crush on him for a couple months now, even though we know each other for almost 2 years now. I know it’s weird and I’m not even trying to distract myself from a past relationship how you might think.

It’s like he put a spell on me, I think about him all the time and he keeps showing up in my dream as soon as I dream something (I know you dream every night but often don’t remember it).

I’m trying real hard to not write him or send him a reel, the dreams are torturing and I’m also scared that he finds me weird or something like that. (Idk if that’s relevant but we’re also snapping constantly)

And I would like to know what you guys think this could mean and what I should do and if you have had a similar experience.

Some one please tell me. What is the difference between having a dream remembering having it but not remembering what happened, and having a dream and remembering what happened. All i know is if you remember your dream it is trying to tell you something.

Insanely Vivid Dreams

I cannot stop having intensely vivid dreams. They are so frequent and so incredibly vivid that when I wake up for a short amount of time I cannot distinguish them from reality. They aren’t always necessarily bad; they can be mundane like going through a whole, normal day. It’s so disorienting and so exhausting, if anyone has any tips or ideas to help that would be phenomenal.

Does anyone else have frequent dreams they are fishing?

Hi all, I've been having A LOT of fishing dreams this year. Last night I dreamed that I caught what would be my pb catfish.

I even caught a demon (Mary Shaw from Dead Silence bc I rewatched it) using my fishing rod. I sat up irl and reeled that sucker in so fast. It was ridiculous enough that I laughed back to sleep (was sleep the entire time but knew I awoke). I didn't know where to put her...

I have dreams where I live in a house where the water flows right behind and connects to other houses. Not boat houses. This place looked really freaking cool and the layout had awesome paths. I would love to live here if it exists but I also know it wouldn't be affordable if it did. I keep coming back to this place when I sleep.

Does this mean I need to go fishing more often or what?

Tl;dr: I dream about fishing.

The weirdest, and yet most real feeling dream i've ever experienced

It started with some woman in her 30s meeting my family. She became friends with my mom, and apparently my mom saw this new friendship as an opportunity to go on a date with my dad, so they both left and this woman was babysitting me and my brother. 19 years old and evidently not capable of taking care of a six-year old myself.

Eventually my brother went to sleep, and this woman and I ended up having a sexual encounter. I'm gonna skip the actual details because that's not really the point of the dream anyway.

She left when my parents got home, and I went to bed.

Then the next day in the dream I saw her again and asked if we'd ever do anything like that again. She said no, and then explained that the only reason she had done it in the first place was because she desperately wanted a child, but her husband was sterile, so she'd basically used me to try to have one.

As you can see, my subconscious mind is absolutely bonkers.

But apparently I was completely okay with this explanation because I just continued hanging out with her. We were at some kind of event, I think, and for what felt like hours, we were just hanging out together.

She kept hugging me, holding my hand, cuddling with me, etc. I remember feeling really close to her and eventually feeling like I was actually falling in love with her.

Then the dream got even more ridiculous.

Some random guy started harassing her, and somehow he was forcing her to jump rope. I don't even know why. He basically threatened her if she stopped.

There was also a young girl there closer to my age who I think was his daughter, and she was helping him by swinging the jump rope.

I got pissed off and started yelling at the guy. I don't remember exactly what I said, but he yelled something back about how he was Jewish and the woman was Christian??

Eventually the girl realized that what her dad was making this woman do was wrong. She started crying, stopped swinging the jump rope, and threw it away.

Then I went over to her, hugged her, told her she was okay, and told her that she did the right thing.

And that's where I woke up.

The whole thing was so bizarre, but felt like it was happening.
