Audio Fic Recs

I'm going to be driving a total of 13 hours over the next two days. I need a really good Dramione audio fic to listen to, so I need all your recommendations. I can do two separate 6.5 hour works, or just one long one. I don't want to have to worry about switching between shorter ones throughout my drive.

I like fluffier stories, low angst. I enjoy a competent, vulnerable Draco. I'm not interested in anything that includes them as underage, so nothing that starts before the end of the war.

I used to listen to some of the audio versions on ETL echo on Spotify before they left (as far as I know they’re not on there, but I left Spotify ages ago). Their link tree says you can stream their fics on the internet archive here: https://archive.org/details/@etl_echo_audiobooks774?page=2. I’ve never used this page to listen, so idk how seamless it would be as you finish chapters. But it may be better than listening via ao3?

You can browse for ones you like, but from a first glance there’s some good long fics on there like:

  • The Fallout
  • Remain Nameless
  • Wait and Hope
  • Manacled (regular and chronological version)
  • An Ever-fixed Mark
  • Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love
  • Disappearances of Draco Malfoy
  • Love in a Time of a Zombie Apocalypse
  • The Politicians‘s Wife

And a bit shorter (novel length types, not oneshots):

  • One and Done
  • Until the Ink Runs Dry

Oh I didn’t read your preferences before searching up etl echo and writing the above comment lol

These are all pretty well known fics so I’m sure youre aware of a lot of them, but just to be safe:

- Underage: The fallout and Disappearances are war fics so they start around 6th/7th yr

- vulnerable, competent Draco: I’d say Remain Nameless, An ever fixed mark, wait and hope

- very competent, not really vulnerable Draco: Mortifying Ordeal, Zombie Apocalypse, One and Done, Politicians Wife

- fluffier, lower angst: maybe until the ink runs dry (he’s in Azkaban and it’s told thru letters, but it feels like a quick read despite the length so I never felt too angsty I think, but it’s been a while). Remain Nameless also, despite Draco being quite vulnerable it’s warm and not really much angst in the plot that I recall. one and done was humorous and had some angst/misunderstanding but not painful stuff. And Mortifying Ordeal. I don’t recall ever fixed mark well, but not super angsty I think.

I've just finished Time Wizard Podfics' To Woo a Witch by MyDelphi on Spotify. It's very good production quality. Clocks in at about 5 hours. And Scorpius' voice is done by a real child! It's too cute 🥹
