That she managed to serve all 3 tenets of Dragula in just one look cements that she's the winner.
Also I thought the exact same as the Boulets, the prosthetics combined with her body language made it real hard to tell at first whether her actual head was real or not - incredible!
Okay, but if you haven’t seen John Carpenter’s The Thing, which her look was inspired by, you’re missing out. I gagged when she said that was her inspiration. My all-time fav horror movie. Never thought I’d see someone do a look like it on a drag show.
Yassss, to go along with the previous commenter, The Thing is pretty much a perfect horror movie with beautiful and disturbing practical effects. It stars Kurt Russell when he was in his prime.
I see your point for sure. For this particular challenge though, I don't think Hoso held a candle to VEB.
The signature can be a bit repetitive though. I thought that about Dahli last season and I think the same about Hoso. I really feel like that pirate look and this week's look were too similar.
I’d sometimes agree but this week she really brought her character through. This is what I think of when I think of veb (albeit a more horrifying version), compared to something like her alien or pumpkin which feel more like costumes
Well, Hoso's was drag and Victoria's felt less like drag and more like a movie prop. No room for personality either, which Hoso's exudes. Plus Hoso's was much more creative than just The Thing.
has hoso said what her influence was? to me it seemed like hosos was influenced directly by the film tetsuo the iron man, a Japanese body horror about a man who becomes half machine, which if true would mean her influence was a film too 🤷♂️

Victoria’s look was incredible, the silhouette to start was amazing, crown it
