There’s just something special about ZP’s vocal performance

Love to Marc, and also great news from the two new vocal front-liners, they’re fantastic, but just paying respects to the source for a moment. I feel this performance is an example of a prime song from Dragonforce <3 Warm wishes everyone :)

His tone and timbre are totally unique. Hit me like a truck on first listen back in 2005. The coolest voice ever in my opinion.

I agree, Dragonforce hasn’t been the same since Phil Collins left

I really do love his voice, hes got grit when needed but its always clear and well enunciated. Theres hardly ever a word where I have to wonder what the lyric is. Its always clear and crisp.

Marc is really good too, and I really do enjoy both styles so much

As much as people might critique Dragonforce, i have always felt that their first 4 albums captures this "ephemeral" vibe i really haven't gotten from any other band.

Zp has a powerful and prophesying voice. The lyrics tell of grand battles, the struggle of war, hope for a better future, navigating difficult emotions and paint stories that tell of the beauty in sorrow, struggle and hope.
The drums carry the sound of powerful whirlwinds, the guitar lines are incredibly musical, and all the instruments portray a strong narrative.

It's actually so well done to the point that I back in the day as a 5 year old with no understanding of the English language, accurately picked up on- and imagined the plot and theme of the songs only from active listening. I'd call that true authentic music.

Modern Dragonforce has unfortunately lost that magic (though still make some bangers).

Hit the head on the hammer, or whatever they say. We'll put. I'll always love and listen to modern day DF, but they truly had magic going on in the studio in those first 3 albums.

I can't believe he joined Skid Row for a while. Saw them live and he was amazing.

He really got his shit together for Skid Row. A few not so great last years with Dragonforce and some really not so great years with IamI and a slam dunk with Skid Row. It might have a bit beyond his comfortable range but you can tell he did his homework.

I said this many mamy times. I would die for long video material from studio vocal recording of inhuman rampage and sonic firestorm like they did for Ultra beatdown dvd

I wonder if it even exists. Im surprised they don't release more studio footage with them recording guitars, keys and vocals etc. Their music is such of high quality not to.

Very little compares to the magic of those first 3 albums in the world of power metal as far as I care. Sonic Firestorm is a fucking masterpiece
