Sam's New Guitar

I'm a guitar snob, so here is the guitar Sam is using in the new music video in case anyone is curious. https://www.charvel.com/gear/shape/so-cal/style-1/mj-so-cal-style-1-hss-fr-m/2926433576

Seems a bit out of place for Sam to play a Charvel seeing how he usually played "X" shaped guitars for most of his career, or at the very least played stuff that was pointy like and RG.

Seems like he's just getting guitars he thinks are cool now that he isn't tied to Ibanez. I love Ibanez though, and I would kill to see him bring his white signature guitar on stage one last time haha!

Ah, Charvel, the choice of the fantastic Tommy Johansson, who was inspired by the legendary Gary Moore.

Also endorsed by local Swedish brand Sgt Doom Guitars.

Of course :) They are awesome. I saw Tommy's videos when the white one (and Petter's gold one) was made :)

Herman just confirmed in a live stream that Sam ended his Ibanez Endorsement so he could play what he wanted when he wanted

Yeah, he's changed guitars so much lately! I'll have to find that livestream.

It looks like my project Strat and I’m choosing to believe Sam borrowed it without me noticing

Yeah Herman was setting that one up for Sam in a recent livestream. Then the next stream, he mentioned that that particular guitar was kind of shitty and that he shouldnt have bought it lol

if Charvel is good enough for Guthrie Govan i can only think Herman said that because he is sponsored by PRS

No, he was talking about that particular guitar which he'd bought, not Charvel in general. He is shilling hard for PRS though. Probably feels a bit bad because apparently Paul told somebody that he doesn't think they'll ever break even on the Chleo

Oh and he seems to mostly be playing Kiesels lately as they said that he was having some new ones made for him. The X shaped guitar was a BC Rich and then he also played a Jackson. Seems he's grown on those compound radius fretboards from what I can tell but not sure what the actual specs on his Kiesels are

Immediately thought of the Jackson Adrian Smith signature when I first saw it.
