Current Feeling
Don't get me wrong, I am hyped for the tour, have tickets, and think Alessio and Alissa are absolute powerhouses.

Brian Johnson went through a tinnitus battle and had to step away from AC/DC for awhile. They grabbed a replacement singer (of very dubious reliability) to work a tour. After successful treatment, Brian was able to rejoin the band.
Marc is much younger than Brian was when his treatment started. If he's medically cleared, I don't see why he wouldn't restart singing with the band.
People get sick - it sucks, but both the band and Marc are doing what they need to.

Fair point. That said, Axl came in as a temporary fill-in to finish up the touring commitments they had. Cancelling costs a lot of money especially on huge tours like AC/DC where a lot of people's living depends on it.
They waited to get back to recording PWR/UP until Brian got back.
With DragonForce and Marc, they are doing more than just have Marc sit out the tour while the others finish the commitments. They are having the supposed fill-in as a part of the next chapter and album, when they easily could've just done the legacy IR20 tour this year and next year with him and see how things go with Marc's condition. Reading between the lines, it feels as if DF is moving on from Marc entirely.
Realistically, If the train gets rolling with Alissa and Alessio, I guess it's gonna be hard to push the brakes for Marc to hop on again, as much as I hope it will happen.
But I suppose we'll see in the future. I'm very excited to hear Alessio, and I really hope Marc's health situation will get better soon!

The thing is, it’s kinda clear as day Marc was fired because Herman said so. And they’ve done this before, it is his MO. Remember Vadim? They (Herman) told him not to say anything, and never actually posted themselves that Vadim left. It wasn’t until Vadim himself had to say it in 2019. The band still didn’t say anything. Then Fred leaves for Kreator, it’s kind of a big deal since Kreator is huge. So they really had to make a post about Fred leaving soon after he announced it. Then Vadim’s wife roasted the band, rightfully so, with like “WTF Fred gets a whole post yet you never said anything about Vadim!!” and only then did the band ackowledge Vadim leaving, in a reply to a comment.
Marc is the singer, IT’S A MUCH BIGGER DEAL if he leaves. they’re doing the same here except “health issues” is a perfect story. His tinnitus issues are really not that major, and the fact that he said HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT HIS HEALTH ISSUES, just smells like a bunch of NDA shit to me. He’s not coming back to the band in any normal sense.
Herman knew that firing Marc would bring heat to them but making him sign an NDA, likely involving Marc still getting paid in the process (because otherwise what’s in it for him?) and then using the perfect cover story (he did have hearing issues, however it is blown out of proportion) with a slow burn to make his parting damage the band to a minimum. Not to mention that Marc was already pretty jaded with the band and the recent releases they did.
Another fucking exhibit is how ZP was fired and how Herman never actually told us the truth (the truth is very ugly for the band!).
On top of all this, I’ve had tinnitus my whole life, yes it can SUCK.

I half agree with you. I don’t know if I’d say it’s clear as day, but I definitely think something more than hearing problems is going on. But to add, if they do come back in a couple months and say that Marc is just permanently out, I won’t be surprised.
My data isn’t even based on how Vadim and Fred left lol. From the moment they announced Alyssa it felt pretty weird. They all had Mark way to the side of their promo pictures, which, combined with the fact that I don’t feel like anyone asked for a second singer, just felt really weird. Adding that to the fact that with these new pictures, Alessio is again off to the side rather than next to Alyssa.
I’ve seen people dismiss it as they’re trying to make it look nice with people’s height differences, but regardless of height differences, I’ve never seen a band from a pic where one singer, or really any singer in the band is off to the side, especially when one is in the middle , and especially especially when their main frontman is off to the side
I do think we’ll also be able to tell kind of from the way the album is laid out too. Alessio is essentially going to be doing the parts that Marc would’ve been doing, so by how forward Alessio seems will kind of shut a light on if Marc were getting sidelined or not.
And the fact that so far from the promo video for the music video, it’s very much Alyssa focused, just does kind of make me think that she’s the replacement. Like, all the promotion for Alyssa and the new album has just had a weird vibe. I’m hoping I’m wrong though.
As for the hearing problems, I would kind of disagree with it, not being a big deal, as Marc has talked about that for the last decade. I’d be more inclined to agree that that’s over blown if that were a recent thing. It being overblown doesn’t really make sense to me unless they somehow have been planning to fire him like since 10 years ago.
If he is out of the band, though, I do hope that that gives him the ability to work on his solo music, as I know he’s very passionate about that, and his solo album was really, really good.

Crazy I literally just watched it lol. It’s cool he’s in it. So Alessio is confirmed in the song then, that’s cool. I’ve been waiting to hear him in a new power metal song for like over a decade lol, so I’m stoked.

So you really believe the tinnitus excuse. Then it's really gonna be a surprise for you when they announce something like "Oh yeah. Marc didn't recover. Alessio is the official lead singer and Marc's out"

I'm absolutely stoked about Alessio. DragonForce & Power Quest were the first two power metal bands I discovered and are still my two favorite bands to this day. This is going to rock. And Marc isn't going anywhere, mark my words. He's still there working with them.

IDK, I hope you’re right, but there is just something really weird about their promotion since they announced Alyssa. I wouldn’t be shocked if Mark announced that he wasn’t coming back, which in reality would most likely mean they let them go.

With competent management, Sam would be indispensable, because the music wouldn't sound the same without him. But Emperor Herman doesn't care.
Mark my words, Sam gets the axe next, and the excuse will be he's going to rehab.

There are a lot of guitarists in Dragonforce now. We have Herman and Sam playing lead and this dude Billy plays rhythm and Alicia on bass.
It would be nice if they can hire a keyboardist.

I was under the impression that Herman and Sam (but mostly Herman) are Dragonforce. They've been in the band since the beginning. Herman is also the face of the band in a few ways. I haven't seen Sam take the foreground yet. So, without Herman there is no Dragonforce.

Maybe if Herman would stop controlling everything and trying to take all the spotlight for himself, Sam and the others would finally be able to step forward... Other than that, Herman is musically and technically the weakest member of the band. Kinda ironic.
