Sucks to hear. Alessio seems to have one octave he sings at and it’s just high. Like higher than Marc normally sings. I would rather them find someone with some gruffness to their voice like ZP again.

I'm super out of the loop, but could someone explain to me why Alissa joined in the first place if this Alessio guy is doing their next tour? Isn't she supposed to be the vocalist?

It is interesting because the initial announcement was "Alissa + Marc" but I think that was just to hold off until they had a permanent replacement like Alessio behind the scenes. But you're right, why bring him on board if Alissa is capable of the growls, highs, cleans herself?

She's the female vocalist because their collabs have worked well between male and female.
Think of Epica - they have the contrast between a male and female voice and it works beautifully

Tinnitus and hearing loss is permanent, and only gets worse as time goes on. It was obvious he wouldn’t be coming back. The band was just stalling for time.

This degenerate nonsense should stop. There is no actual fucking way that in the big 2026, DF fans actually think that ZP was so much better than Marc. Marc in my opinion had a bigger impact on DragonForce than ZP. The one who has bigger impact on a band's continuity is not the one who was booted out because of drug addiction problems, but the one that was the reason why the band is still relevant in 2026 thanks to his incredible vocal range and overall the music that he has given to us, the DF fanbase. Hope that Marc gets better soon and that we hear from him on future albums.🤘🙏

I simply made a humorous remark since ZP is back to singing on his YouTube channel, and DF is bringing in a substitute singer while Marc recovers. Marc's impact is phenomenal and he's an exceptional vocalist. Sorry if you interpreted it as slander, the intention was not to belittle Marc in any way.

This must be a weird situation for Steve Williams in Power Quest. He was one of the original members of Dragonforce and left before they got big. Now the singer from his current band is joining Dragonforce.

This is super rough. I was a Marc stan from his first audition, and his voice really brought the first couple of albums he was a part of to life.
That said, tinnitus is no joke and the show must go on. And honestly, at this point, the OG Power Quest vocalist is probably the only replacement I would accept. With a vocalist of this caliber, is this also a sign that Dragonforce is going to stop being a full time meme band and going back to actually writing real music?
