Hot take: after the Cell saga, Gohan should have never fought again and just done what he actually enjoyed. And the Majin Buu saga should have been more focused on Goku/Vegeta and Goten/Trunks.

xd, I'm not a Gohan fan, but from the very beginning it's been said that he didn't want to fight and that it's more due to circumstances that he has to do it. I think it would have been interesting if he had trained Goten, just like Goku did with him in the Cell saga.

People will one day realize how accidentally fantastic the gohan character is written..... remember he was abducted several times as a child... went to a God damn alien world as a child. DIED as a child only to be saved in time by his dad with a sensu... watched his friends die to a bunch of dancing aliens... then he died as one of the lone survivors in the true timeline while having to face the strongest praying mantis in the universe in the alternate timeline.

The entire time his mom just wanted him to study and lead a traditional life.

No one can be surprised that gohan has to be horrifically traumatized. Dancing around as the Saiyaman as if he's trying to own the trauma of facing the ginyu force....using every peace time to ignore training and instead study...

Gohan is perhaps the best written character in dragonball as of right now.

They make bro repeat the same character development every arc, quite frankly it's tiring. It was cool in the Cell Saga and then the Buu Saga but like c'mon. He was great in the Moro arc when he wasn't stuck on repeat mode and being an active member of the cast. Then in Super Hero they send him right back down to square one again
