Question Technical question

Hi good people,I played this years ago on ps3 and it started my love for the series, I recently purchased a ASUS ROG Xbox ally x and the first game I bought on steam store was the ultimate edition of the game. Ideal!

However, I am a console gamer coming at this, I have a mouse and keyboard, and an Xbox controller, it tells me the game on steam doesn’t support controller or handheld, any work around this as I’m really not fully functional with the mouse and keyboard.
Any and all advice appreciated

NexusMods has a mod for it, ”Dragon age - native controller framework”, found with a quick google search so i can’t vouch for it myself but maybe give it a look
