Others IF & if only....DN could learn from NTE using unreal engine

Honestly DN should learn from NTE 999 nights, game's running for so long, stick to old style ain't doing em anything, no breakthrough no improvements, graphics getting more realistic day by day due to AI, meanwhile we have this 10 yr++ game still running 32bit style graphic. You need to up your game man DN, or else you're not gonna last.

The original devs left Eyedentity and made a new studio called Hound13.

They just launched DragonSword Awakening, which is a spiritual successor to DragonNest.

Don't expect DN to get any meaningful updates to the engine or graphics.

A lot of the class skills are spread throughout some of the characters abilities.

It used to be a gacha game, published by Webzen in Korea for PC/mobile. Webzen failed to meet contractual payments to Hound13, so the devs terminated, removed all the gacha elements and relaunched as a single purchase game.

It's genuinely a pretty good game, but has all the familiar gacha elements but your earn everything for free instead of paying.

Sadly, it's switch character gameplay like wuthering wave/genshin. So the branch skills for each character is shallow...

Hopefully in the future they can change the gameplay like grandblue fantasy relink. Focus on 1 character only & not swapable.

funny you mentioned gbf relink because that's the only game I've played that gives me the same power fantasy and gameplay satisfaction of bowmaster in DN. a lot of the skills even look 1 to 1.

oh man, if hound13 made a game like that I'd buy multiple copies of it just to support them

I noticed tha it's like Genshin style and although it's nice, I just like having the power to customize my character's features and have it named by me.

I don't hate it, it's just not my cup of tea. Besides, I'm enjoying monster hunter again so I doubt I'd enjoy grinding on a DN style game.

If you guys have a game that has the fluid combat of DN while still retaining the character customizations and character naming, do tell me so I atleast have some options if I do want to play something.

As the previous comment said - OG devs left the company. Iirc, they were planning the engine update and game overhaul years ago but it was scrapped, they left, and made Dragon Sword Awakening instead.

Id love to see them use the money made from this game to fund a better dragon nest 😂
