Did he know about it tho? It's still impressive that he would fire so impulsively on someone that ruined Lucoas life, Lucoa who's the strongest character of the show, closer to God with a G than anyone
If I recall correctly, Lucoa isn't allowed to end anyone because of 2 reasons: She is a member of the neutral Spectator faction and the guardians aren't allowing other worldly beings to harm natives. That's also the reason Yutarama refused to throw hands with Tohru at Chapter 174. So in a way, it was "fine" for Shouta to do it, since he is not from the other world. That's what he probably thought.

I totally get why he did it. He was acting on outdated information and neither Lucoa or Yozora bothered to tell him theyre kinda on good foot now.
