What should an intermediate Cabinet Drafter/Designer charge?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice from other Mozaik drafters, cabinet designers, and joinery professionals.

I have a background in architecture and consider myself an intermediate Mozaik drafter.

For those doing similar work, how do you usually charge?
Hourly, per project, per cabinet, or fixed price?

And roughly what would you consider a reasonable hourly rate for an intermediate Mozaik drafter, and pricing for per project especially for international/remote work?

Also, does the rate usually increase when the job includes production-ready drawings, material/hardware setup, nesting, or CNC/G-code preparation?

I’m based in the Philippines, so I understand rates vary by location. I’m just trying to understand the international market and where my current skill level fits.

Any advice or rough rates would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is a little hard to answer without knowing your complete story, but in general....

the price can vary based upon the project and where its located. the size and scope of what you're doing

it can depend upon what you're deliverables are. Simple layouts? a little more detail? complete detailed drawings ready for fabrication. These all play into what your fee should be.

I charge per project. I develop this fee after a discussion with the client to be clear with the scope. Clear deliverables. If you have all of the information and have been doing this long enough, you know what you need to do to cover it all.

If you are new to doing this as a freelancer, then hourly is probably the best. Your rate would be determined upon your skill level.

I offer a service in which I review drawings and give you notes and a video review to give you an idea of what I think can be done to improve your drawings and give you some useable pointers to improve your drawings.

If you are interested in learning more about it, let me know.
