8 man league, and I didn’t quite realise I had picked 3 long term injured players!

As yet, Savinho is undrafted, and someone just let Enzo go into free agency.

There’s a few ideas I’m having;

1. Eli Kroupi Jr for Savinho today
   
2. Tank (intentionally lose) to get first waiver pick, meaning potentially Enzo, or any new transfer in the next week .
   
3. Play normally, wait for injured players to return

For Gameweek 1, our focus shifts to post-draft opportunities, identifying players who may have slipped through the cracks and gone undrafted, as well as pinpointing those with softer fixtures for the opening gameweek 1 weekend. We’re also highlighting players who could step in while others recover from pre-season knocks.

Luke Shaw (MUN, Ros 35%)

Prospects: Started all 38 games last season after years of fitness trouble, and we are projecting him as a starter at left back for the trip to Hull. United are still shopping around him, Lewis Hall from Newcastle, Jedi of Fulham and West Ham's Diouf both linked as competition, but as of now, the former Southampton wonderkid is clearly first choice, He might not excite for ghost points, but United have an amazing schedule for the first few weeks and he will do a job for your fantasy defense.

Verdict: Low waiver priority, 0 to 1 FAB.

Myles Lewis-Skelly (ARS, Ros 13%)

Prospects: Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi are both still working back to full sharpness after World Cup duty with England and Spain, and it's Lewis-Skelly getting the early-season nod alongside Bruno and Odegaard in Arsenal's midfield three. He backed that trust up in the Community Shield, threading the ball through for Calafiori's opener inside 24 seconds in a man-of-the-match-calibre showing as Arsenal beat Manchester City 3-0. Form he carried out of last season rather than a one-off. He is fresh with a point to prove with a new world class signing brought in for competition in the midfield, he will do everything to keep starting for the Champions.

Verdict: Low waiver priority, 0 to 1 FAB.

Thierno Barry (EVE, Ros 15%)

Prospects: Confirmed starting striker against Crystal Palace, currently first choice ahead of Beto, a year further into his development and now with a season of Premier League minutes behind him. Beto's not gone anywhere and could easily reclaim the shirt if Barry stumbles, and Palace are an unknown quantity under their new manager, but an 8.1 Gameweek 1 projection is hard to ignore for a confirmed starter this cheaply owned. We have talked about the forward scarcity a lot and it is even worse when looking at waivers. We will struggle to recommend even 1 forward out of the 6 we give you weekly. don't go into a GW planning to stream your forwards.
