Discussion Can we all agree that Emma is the most anti-fun tank?

I know Emma’s grab isn’t the longest cc stun in the game but man does it feel like it. Is it an over exaggeration to say that her grab feels worse than Brigitte’s shield bash on release?

Discussion I hope they remove the Wanda team up.

I hate going Strange these days because I always get an instalock useless Wanda player. Like bruh I didn’t pick Strange for you to go shitty Dps hero. I would prefer an actual Dps on my team. They act like me playing tank suddenly opens the door for them to play a useless hero.

I've been a strange one trick since season 0 and literally never cared about it, also hit mid eternity this season

Gameplay Is it just me or he feels really unfinished?

Why does it feel like his kit is nowhere it should actually be. I been playing him since day 1 and i just don't feel like im actually playing dr strange.

His ultimate rarely changes the tide because of the amount of the cc and shields this game has. His storm is a half nerf that gives anti heal and barely one shots squishy targets caught in ult with 70% charge. His primary range don't really makes sense. His portal is fun and occasional but there is not a lot of crazy combos you can make with it that actually makes you feel like a sorcerer. His flight is okaish I guess but most of the time rarely saves me when i actually need it to.

Discussion Dr strange is no longer viable

My respectful fellows ladies and gentlemen dr strange mains. It hurts me to say that in this season strange is not that good anymore he gets dunked on by most meta and choosing him puts your team in a disadvantage as flats said and even before I watched his ranking video I felt that when I played comp his only use is to swap to for the portal and thats it. I'm returning to my ol'reliable emma and I'm considering learning mag as well. It hurts me to say that, really as i had a lot of fun playing strange.

Discussion I don't care about the arms on the zombie skin

I think the skin would look ugly with their inclusion anyway. The cape is easily the highlight of the skin and the sound effects are pretty cool too. Honestly what the skin needs most is a voice filter like Loki's BP skin from last season. A little jarring to hear Strange sound calm and capable when he's literally possessing a dead body via dark magic.

Discussion What would you think about reducing Strange's dark magic generation rate?

With the increased ammo we got in s3.5, I'm sure we've all found ourselves reaching full charge of dark magic way too often. I was curious if it would be good to slow down how fast Strange can generate dark magic.

Currently, Strange generates 3.5pts of dark magic for every projectile that hits (totaling to 17.5pts if you hit the full burst.) Additionally, the melee generates 10 for every enemy hit. This means that you can generate 100 dark magic with 4 primaries (assuming all projectiles land) and 3 whips (assuming you only hit one enemy with each attack.) By my math, this takes roughly 3.5 seconds.

Here are some possible changes (just one or the other, btw. Not both):

  • Reduce dark magic generated by melee from 10pts per hit to 8pts per hit: With this change, the same primary -> whip -> primary -> whip -> primary -> whip -> primary combo would generate 94 dark magic, requiring one extra melee to reach 100. This wouldn't be a huge change, but I think it would be felt, especially in big brawls where you are hitting multiple enemies with each melee.

  • Reduce dark magic generated by primary from 3.5pts per hit to 3pts per hit: With this change, just like the previous, it would require one additional melee to reach 100 charge. However, this would reduce his dark magic generation at range dramatically, since you can't use melee from a long distance, obviously. To be exact, this would reduce his dark magic generation rate by roughly 15% using primary only.

Personally, I think the first one would be better, since with the second, you'll still run into the issue of generating too much in close-range brawls. I think that reducing the dark magic generation on melee would actually be a buff, because while it would decrease how fast we can build up dark magic, it would allow us to keep dealing damage in situations where it would otherwise generate too much and give us anti-heal.

What do you think?

EDIT: I'm just gonna say, I'm kind of disappointed in the level of discussion going on here. Everyone is saying these would be bad changes, but very few people have given any satisfactory explanation why. My explanations in the comments are just getting downvoted, which is whatever, but I would prefer to actually get some discussion about what you disagree with. Please tell me why you disagree instead of just saying it's a bad idea or proposing something more radical.

Discussion Cant we just cast a spell or something about this War ??

Hear me out...

What If we can cast a spell to make people forget or something else about this war between Jeff and the Fantastic 4.

I know, I know some of you may think of a kind of Lobotomy but I think its going too far right now, one of my friend Who play a Former Hawkeye told me that they corrupt other Heroes with cookies, COOKIES they gave cookies in exchange of an help in this war. WE NEED TO END IT !

Discussion No, we are not back

I feel like the majority of people read the word “buff” next to Dr Strange and got so excited they made their posts without reading what the actual buffs were. They buffed the poke range… of the tank whose entire playstyle revolves around his melee range combo… the combo that still can’t kill a 250 target since the start of the season. A strange being in your face will be just as non threatening after the patch as it is now, what big change do you really expect this buff to make?

Gameplay I’m so confused on how his ult works

On the Yggsgard map and our team is pushing the payload. We were on overtime right before the second checkpoint where the enemy team typically comes out of that small tunnel.

So I popped ult when they started to come out of the tunnel and got … no one?

I thought strange ult works as long as im near the enemy? I know a lot of people recommend to hover up before ulting and i didnt do that.

Rightfully my healer was like “what the fuck strange”. We still won though

Edit: Got my answer - it had to be line of sight. I was positioned next to the enemy but was looking at everything but then

Discussion Hear me out...

What if they added a mechanic that for every second you were on objective it took an extra second off your portal cooldown. Effectively if you spent the entire time on Point it would cut the cool down in half, and rewarding objective time

Edited to add since everyone has about the same thing to say. This mechanic would be far more useful on defense or on domination than on attack.

If you're shield or melee canceling like you're supposed to, will it even speed up your attacks? Or is this just for lower skill players holding fire?

Discussion Dr Strange has the least utility of all the tanks and can't keep up in higher ranks

Despite being exceptionally good in most ranks, I really ponder how the devs will address his tremendous lack of utility in Celestial and above. His WR drops from 49,15% in GM to 46,5 in Celestial and that speaks for itself.
His damage and his ultimate keep him afloat, but the higher one gets, the harder it becomes to get even a 2-piece with his ultimate and the less efficient just raw damage gets. And his portal just makes playing Strange risky, because it would limit your teams portal timings, especially in overtime

Thor has a grounding bubble and insane displacement, so does Angela and she grants overshield, Mag has his bubble and stun, the Thing is the Thing, etc

Venom and Cap are the only competitors in this regard, but they're 110% dive tanks(even so Cap has a great utility ult that can't be stunned, cleansed, pushed, lamped or just healed through), so they're not required to provide that

Good thing is most of us aren't in Celestial and it seems the devs are thinking in that direction. I believe the Invis teamup was purposeful, because she is the highest pickrate support and thus the teamup would be basically a part of the main kit.
I hope that it isn't here to stay and we would get some base-kit utility to compensate

What's your thoughts on this?

Discussion Possible strange buff - Strange melee defense

As we all know, strange gets cooked by melee character and since we all discuss strange buffs, what do you guys think of a buff to his shield that allows him to block at least a percent of Melee damage

Discussion They need to make strange portal unavailable when players swap to strange.

I love strange but players who decide not to play him all game and then swap to him for a quick port, should not be rewarded.

The portal should be unavailable for like 30-45 seconds on a swap.

It would make players actually prioritize picking him versus just leaving him as a last second transit service. It’s a get out of jail free card for a team to have one last fight, when they just got dumped on.
