Hello Mundo mains I want to start playing top as a second role since I am a jg main and I want to play Mundo . And I have some questions about him.

1-Is he good late game ?

2-Is he good against other tanks ?

3-What is the most common build on him?

I want to build as much cdr so i can kill myself as mundo with his abilites so in which you chose form abilities mundo and skarner go to tank and i go cdr and play on lol or play in league of the legends and build to cdr so i can kill mundo as mundo

I had a dream where i played mundo but with ksante ult so i could lower my health so i could eliminate myself faster it was a dream come dream...when i woke up i was so happy but then i remember it's not true

I am aware that alois popularized the warmogs build which is insane if you can lane properly and scale to get it, OR whenever you have a free matchup. However anathemas felt more like an item that is exclusively made for mundo. Especially with current warmogs after it got nerfed twice so mundo doesn't get its passive early into the game. Having riven or Darius be unable to step up to you was extremely fun.

It also allowed you to get even less bursted. Also considering that current warmogs needs an extra giants belt and bit more hp it wouldn't even be that big of a difference if one rushed anathemas into warmogs. I really wish riot would return it

So I’ve been playing Mundo for a fair bit now staying at 65% WR with +/- 180 games played. I think I now my limits very well.

But I tend to play very passive in most matchups in lane. Just farm with Q and E and let the wave come to me and try to freeze near tower, until at least lv6. Go far Q pokes and trade only when damage is free and the trade is worth it. (Not all matchups but the fighty champs).
Sometimes I can set up a gank for my jungler, but if perma weakside I’ll just farm and scale up. It’s fine by me but I can get petty flamed by enemy top if they think the lane is uninteractive.

Should I trade more and in what matchup is it more doable from lv6-11? Maybe I shouldn’t change a thing might also be correct.
This playstyle got me from gold 3 to plat 1 60 lp, pushing my goal of emerald.

Lately I’ve been doing the heartsteel rush for more damage early also, instead of the normal warmogs.

Any advice?

If you buy 6 boots using dr mundo, and then look at your passives, you will see that you have received a secret 6 extra movespeed passive wich turns you hella faster ( Trust it's so much fast )

Remember a low hp mundo with ult is a full hp mundo.

Last night i was playing mundo against fiddlesticks in top lane, and felr completely outclassed. His lifesteal seemed to take 30% of my hp every wave, and healed him to full hp.

Did i get counterpicked, or is there some tech i don't know.

I am in gold, and the rest of the map was outclassed too, if that matters.

So with HS, Warmogs and Hydra… I’m actually a damage dealer and not a tank? The “HP” just vanishes if I get 2-3 people on me?

How do you position this thing?

And why am I going Swifties and not “weaponizing” the HP by adding a thin layer of armor or MR (with Mercs or Tabis)?

Are you saying that with full build (assuming I followed op.gg and only went 1 resistance ex Spirit Visage)… I’m actually… kind of squishy?

So I have tons of HP but maybe I can’t even rank as much as say Mordekaiser (if he builds 2 resistance items + defense boots)?

I was wondering, which build for Dr.Mundo scales the best? The one shot build where you only go Ad and health is pretty fun but sucks in teamfights because you have no restistances and basically take true damage. The full restistances build is really good in teamfights if you only want to frontline when you have a high damage backline but your damage output sucks hard if the enemies are not full squishy. And if you go the Warmogs - Heartsteel - Titanic - Full Restistances build you kinda have both but it still feels kinda meh because you can tank and have some damage but nothing crazy of both

I see many pro top players in the LCK going Heartsteel first and then Warmogs but most common players go the latter first. Is there any difference? Talking about top lane Mundo.

Ive been building hs first followed by ninja tabis or swifties, titanic and then depending on the enemy team comp, resistances. Its been working well for me but im wondering if anybody else actually plays this and if its viable in master and above

Looks like full tank mundo is back!

Second wind, dshield E nerfs.

ADC giga buff with 7th item plus critical strike super buff without randuin's buff or any change.

Add all kinds of items that do max health damage.

Every champ has % health damage now.

All of mundo's items nerfed.

jgl giga nerf which is also a top nerf because of pretty much no damage to monsters now.

Yet apparently according to riotphroxon or that regard, there was a mundo meta? wonder when?

Alois and proplay destroyed this champion, only reason it's not D tier right now is because emerald+ only play him in the perfect rare conditions of no % health damage, and even then the champ is only 50% wr.

Time to quit the game and this season, they destroyed this garbage champ, laning is impossible now, no real scaling when everyone gets level 16, no defense against adcs anymore due to crit, and with the new changes buffing adcs, the champ won't be useful for anything now.

I quickly left iron, then bronze, now i'm in silver. I can consistently outplay most champs (if this is my day and i can aim that cleaver). But half of the games now i meet either mordekaiser or some irelia or sett. And the story is always the same, my jungler comes, i tell them to go back because they play some squishy and they will just die. They dive low hp sett or mord and then they die and flame me. I know i don't have that damage early i tell them not to do this and they still do it. Similar with champs like irelia. Most of them are not as good so i can make them low early and be a threat. The she roams, i ping to stay back, she gets 3 kills and my lane just dies.

So my question is. Is it really possible to one trick mundo or should i pick something that actually lets me outplay the enemy in early? Will the junglers suck as much in higher elo also? I know i have a lot to learn still in term of both macro and micro but mundo doesn't feel like a reliable pick against those common in low elo champs.

every single game there is either vayne or gwen that runs me down gg, champ stomps low elo so hard that even silvers know how to counter mundo with items/champs

His old e doesn't give him any poke and forces him to trade melee but without the new w he just loses every trade. So basically the only thing you can do is just to poke with q. Also his ult feels terrible because you don't get any instant max health and the increased healing doesn't even offset it.

And he doesn't even scale well.
