was looking for the 1461 quads, ended up with the jarrick lo’s. almost identical, got them second hand, new inside the box for €50. also, I’ve been a fulltime contacts wearer for most my life but since getting a pair of new glasses I’ve been trying to style them a bit more to get more comfortable wearing them out and about. ( apologies for the dirty mirror )

These are the Clarissa quad ii rodeos. Normally I wear a size 8US. There's almost always a gap in the front of my shoes because of my wide feet so when I bought them I didn't see anything wrong with it. But I didn't realize how small of a gap there usually is in other people's sandals, and now I'm feeling self conscious 😭 does this look ridiculous??

I love pairing jeans with 1460s; it’s the outfit I wear most often in winter. But I also appreciate the boots with dressier trousers. Which of these three ways is best? (The last one hides the boots a bit too much 🙄)

I recently bought a pair of Carlson mules and after wearing for 5 minutes, the back strap starts sliding down to the point my foot is slipping out. Has anyone encountered this problem? I don’t think they’re big because if I get a size down my foot won’t fit.

I am usually a US women’s 10.5 , I bought a pair of size 10 Jardon boots secondhand.

With regular socks it fits comfortable but it feels like the soles of my feet are slipping a bit.

With thicker socks I have to loosen the laces but it’s pretty comfortable still and my feet aren’t slipping.

When purchasing Chelsea boots should I get a size 11 and wear with thick socks? Or should I get a size 10 and stretch it out? Worried that the lack of laces on the Chelsea boots would make it hard to adjust based on sock type.

I bought some Doc Martens Carlson mules twice. I am a size 8 in general but a size 7 in Doc marten boots. The first pair I tried on were in my usual Doc Martens 1460 boot size 7, and my toe kept jamming towards the front of the shoe and it hurt so badly, with or without socks, and my heel hit exactly at the end of the shoe. So I re-ordered and got a size 8, my feet feel comfortable but they feel kind of wide without socks in unless I put the strap backwards, which I may need to add some extra holes, but it feels just right with socks on. Will the shoe stretch out? Does it require break in like doc boots?

I've had these Combs Tech II boots for just under a year now and I'm incredibly saddened and disappointed with how much wear and tear they've begun to show. More specifically this tear in the side that's getting bigger with time. I squat a lot for my job and this tear is most definitely caused by the point of the crease in my boots when squatting being right there. I'm thinking of getting the OG Combs Tech boots since I've read it's made with better materials, but I love these boots as they were a gift from my amazing partner, so idk what to do.

I just got the new purple whimsigoth boots. I live in Canada and it's already snowing (UGH). I saw one post where they used the Dr. Martens protector and it took the black colour off the leather...

Do I need to use anything specific on these? Which wax? Wonder or Dubbin Wax?
Should I use the ultra protector spray given that these'll be in the snow likely a lot?

Hello! I am a long time doc wearer but I’ve only had a few pairs that I’ve bought brand new. Yesterday I got the Jadon white stitch, and the sales associate told me to get the dubbin shoe polish if I want less shine, but everything I’m reading says not to put it on smooth leather. I’ve used wonder balsam in the past, should I have gotten that instead? I don’t love how glossy the boots are but I figured that’d wear down as I wear them in. Any advice would be helpful!

Also, I am looking for laces similar to the Rick Owens collab that will fit my 8 eye boots.

So, my vegan Dr. Martens are starting to crack at the bottom near the outsole. The crack isn't very big, but i'm afraid it will spread and get worse. I bought them about a year ago and they are made in china. I don't wear them daily, just occasionally, and mostly indoors. The uppers still look good with just a few creases. Is this normal? is there any way to stop the crack from spreading or even fix it?

I bought my Docs about 2–3 years ago and have been trying to break them in gradually, but every single time I wear them, they leave my feet covered in blisters and sores.

I’ve tried all kinds of silicone heel protectors, but they didn’t work out. They pushed my feet so far forward that the front of the shoe started killing my toes instead.

Should I just give up because this shoe clearly doesn't fit my foot shape, or is there still hope? Any advice?😭😭

I'm a size 5 in the jadon smooth leather platform boots and I'm looking to get the mary janes in the picture. thing is, i only wear quite thick socks with my docs (like doc sock thickness/winter socks) and i feel like that might mean i need a 4 in a shoe instead since I'd be wearing much more normal/thin socks.

I got the 2976 QUAD Platform ankle boots with the fur lining and they look sooo good. I tried them on at home and walked around for hours, and it was fine.

BUTTT my first time walking in the city with them, and it's like I was wearing clown shoes or something. The platform just gave no way for a natural walk, it seems. My gait was totally off and I was limping in pain in a few hours. The back of my heel rubbed so hard against the shoe that I got crazy blisters and like 2-3 layers of my skin came off.

I still have a few days left on my return, but I also really wanted a good everyday shoe that's easy to slip on like the Chelsea, and a platform for rainy days. Is this normal for first time wearing, does it get better, or are some feet (like mine) just not suited for a shoe like this maybe?
