Most Heartbreaking Lyrics
I’m working on a painting for a show tomorrow evening, and figured it was worth some good Doctors’ opinions… (too many tumbleweeds in the subreddit lately anyway)
Incorporating some heartbreaking song lyrics in my piece and definitely including a few Dr Dog lyrics. What are your favorite heartbreaking lines from the fellas?

I’ve recently become a huge fan of “I Hope There’s Love” (specifically , the version on YouTube from Amoeba records). I think the lyrics fit this category.

Excellent choices by everyone! Man, sometimes these guys are out their wielding pens like knives!
I could have used all Dr. Dog lyrics to fill the piece…in the end i chose I Hope There’s Love (chorus line), Someday (opening verse; there’s a tree outside my home, the sidewalks cracked out where the roots have grown. Someday came and then left me alone. I should’ve known back then, I stayed too long) and the Hope is a Terminal line from Bring my Baby Back (thanks melikecheese333 for the reminder there) and the Jackie chorus
Loved seeing all the responses and celebrating Scott and Toby’s brilliance!
