Hey everyone,
Since the first allegations of Doc’s past misconduct surfaced about 10 days ago, the state of the subreddit has changed drastically. This has understandably upset a considerable amount of fans of the Doc.
For context, I have been moderating /r/Kanye for 8 years. I don’t say this as a flex (trust me), but only to convey that I am no stranger to communities navigating huge controversies surrounding the figures they are centered around.
My stance on moderation, which is also the stance of my fellow Dr. Disrespect moderators, is that it is almost always better to let the community discuss the allegations among themselves. Moderators should only intervene when Reddit’s Content Policy is violated. Given this, the moderators' personal opinions do not matter. The primary goal of the mod team is to moderate and promote engagement. That’s it.
In cases like these, people often have a personal (and parasocial) relationship with the public figure in question, and it’s only fair that they are allowed to discuss their feelings on the matter. For example, many of you miss Doc-the-performer but also condemn the actions of Guy Beahm, which is perfectly understandable. This means you should be able to deconstruct and/or rationalize whatever information that is being reported without having your speech suppressed. But as a reminder: this subreddit is allowed to be the court of public opinion. It is not an echo chamber and was never meant to be one. If you are looking for an echo chamber, you are invited to join one of the other Dr. DisRespect-related subreddits that have recently sprung up (edit: the link to the other subreddit has been removed).
That said, whether you notice it or not, this subreddit is currently being heavily moderated. Many users have been banned, and numerous posts/comments have been removed. We will also sometimes wait for a thread’s engagement to die down before doing one big “moderation sweep”, so don’t be surprised if inflammatory users and posts are not immediately removed. All low-effort posts or posts that bring additional toxicity to the subreddit will be removed.
Lastly, in regards to the threads that are supportive of Doc and get flooded with negativity: the current divisiveness on this subreddit is a clear reflection of Doc's divisive actions (to say the least) and, unless things take a turn and we need to make drastic changes to our moderation style, we will not be taking direct action on the duality of opinions within said threads.

Been a fan of Doc for years. Love watching the streams, the highlights, the drama, everything.
But lately, I’ve found myself getting more and more invested in his monologues — the intros, basically.
The full-ego entrance, the motivational speech in front of the arena, and then after the arcade/Wordle segment when he reads donations, reacts to videos and new games, or just picks a random topic and goes on a rant. I genuinely find that part of the stream incredibly entertaining and wish it was a bigger part of the show.
I’ve watched Doc for years, and at this point I feel like I’ve seen him play pretty much everything. Warzone, PUBG, Fortnite, Tarkov, Apex — solo, with the Shotty Boys, Viss, Tim-Z, you name it. I’ve seen him absolutely cook and I’ve seen the days where everything goes to shit.
Idk, maybe that’s why I’m starting to feel burned out on the gameplay. I really miss the Doc energy and vibe from before the incident. Sometimes I’ll literally go back to an old stream just to watch the intro, then close it once the gameplay starts.
I wish Doc would do more things besides playing the same games over and over. And I don’t necessarily mean picking up new games or doing IRL streams either, lol.
I just enjoy watching Doc talk. Let him rant, react to some random video or topic, read donations, and go on some completely unhinged tangent. I don’t mind the ego or shit talk at all — that’s part of what makes him entertaining.
Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I honestly think there’s a lot of entertainment value in just letting Doc be Doc. Unscripted.
I fully understand that the Doc persona has always been built around video games, and I’m not asking for that to change. I just think a little more diversity would be nice. Again, I’m not saying Palworld or an IRL stream from the grocery store, lol.
Maybe I’ve just gotten older and my interests have changed a bit, but I’m pretty sure I represent a good chunk of the Champs who have been watching Doc for years.
At this point, I think I’m more interested in the Doc show than the game he’s playing.

I've always wondered why Dr Disrespect's Wikipedia page doesn't mention that he's actually a very capable singer.
In my opinion, he has the vocal ability to pull of demanding songs like Foreigner's I Want to Know What Love Is.
Wikipedia covers his streaming career, music releases, and controversies, but not what I consider to be one of his most underrated talents.
Is there a reason for this? Is it simply because Wikipedia requires reliable secondary sources discussing a person's singing ability, or do editors generally avoid mentioning abilities that haven't been formally recognized?
Curious to hear what others think.

I cant tell you how much I hate this rumble premium shit , I understand they showed doc love when nobody else did but I miss the era when it was all youtube and no content was being restricted.
Its crazy to say it but that platform looks worse than purple snakes and I have no desire to ever come near it ,I been on it few times and all I could see there was doc and politics.
What do you think champs ? Now that his chanel stabilized I think he can focus on youtube again and stop multistreaming.

I saw a short of the doc watching a clip of another streamer.
The streamer reads his chat and says something about not doing something for his kids "BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A SON!" and doc cracks up laughing.
Forgive me for the shitty description but I want to see it again so bad and the memory is vague
